Yeah I'm not entirely convinced this dude was a typical right-winger. For all we know he could have been way far left, and simply frustrated with his congresswoman not sharing his views. Listen to progressive radio sometime, they call liberal Congressppl "center-right", if it gives you an idea of how warped their minds are. Don't believe me, think about what Player would say. "She wasn't liberal enough", etc.

Mother of pearl! There's a lot in this thread.

Just out of curiousity - why do we need to blame someone other than the shooter for the tragedy? Is there some inherent need for us to do this? It appears, based on my reading of the news (and by news, I mean the actual news), that this guy was certifiable. I think being insane is enough of a reason without pointing to Fox News or Glenn Beck or President Obama or whatever.

Because that's what liberals have to do to shut up conservatives who they disagree with.

Amazing that you still believe this crap is caused by conservatives even though you deleted your posts. It's clear to everyone except liberal idiots that the map was designed to target house races for unseating democrats in the 2010 election. Any other excuse is bullshit.

While not inciting violence, I think the billboard falls under the type of speech the Sheriff from the area talked about.

Irrelevant. We have freedom of speech in this country, and just because some deranged person may or may not use the speech from a certain individual to "justify" their killing of innocent people does not mean that speech should be outlawed. Furthermore, THERE IS NO EVIDENCE THAT THIS SHOOTER FOLLOWED THE CONSERVATIVE SPEECH THAT THE LIBERALS ARE CLAIMING INCITED THE VIOLENCE. Contentious speech should be debated with more speech, not a gun. This man decided to use a gun as his method of speech, which is wrong in every context.

I've found this to be true for the most part.

The reverse is conservatives calling liberals "unpatriotic," which we saw a lot of in the Bush years.

I was not trying to be partisan with my point.

I'm not blaming anyone other than the shooter for his actions (to answer your original point).

Yes, I know there is a direct correlation with conservatives labeling liberals us "unpatriotic". But there is a HUGE difference between saying someone is unpatriotic for a position and saying someone's speech caused a deranged individual to kill people. Associating any conservative with this idiot, especially without proof, is completely infuriating.

I agree, especially since there is little to no evidence that he was a conservative or that the speech or acts of conservatives resulted in his actions.

I'm simply pointing out that when Creepers blames this on conservatives, he's saying things remarkably similar to conservatives who tried to label liberals as unpatriotic when they were against the War in Iraq. Frankly, I think both sets of people are morons who lack any kind of knowledge about the issues or else are purposefully pointing out disgusting comparisons to force moderates from either camp. Either way, it's dishonest.

But saying someone's speech directly lead to murder is a huge stretch from putting a label of "unpatriotic" on someone.

I think the fact that this thread has turned into another 'liberals' vs 'conservatives' thread goes to show how retarded the whole paradigm actually is - I've heard both sides claim that the shooter aligns himself with the opposing side's ideology (not just on this board) - The shooter is mentally unhealthy, which is an attribute that does not disciminate based on political leanings.

I find both to be equally dishonest. One is just more disgusting than the other... especially since some people jump at the chance to point these types of things out.

Actually, the conservatives in this thread did not blame the shooting on liberal ideologies. The conservative did point out that the shooter wasn't conservative.

Only one poster has blamed the shooting on any ideology, and that was the OP and it was blamed on conservatives.

Let's get back to the shooting itself. You guys remember that guy in the city council who he tried to kill? I wonder if such violent actions have been on the rise. I in no way commend such actions, but I ask:

Is this a problem inherent with government?

Marxism is Marxism. Nobody should be able to say that tho, or make comparison, pretty much scratch the entire idea of understanding Marxist's. We'll just let someone else tell us what Marxism isn't. But what if that someone else is a Marxist? wait....

Nobody on the right is trying to blame this on lefty's. What people on the right are doing is defending against the charges that this athiest bible hater, long hair schizo pot smoking drop out who lists the Communist Mainfesto and Mien Kampf among his favorite books, is a right winger. He just isn't....

What does being an atheist have to do with anything, or everything else you're describing him as?

a real liberals response I saw to this map, when it was brought to attention that democrats employed the same tactics on the same map....

never heard of him, but I can tell you this guy is lacking common knowledge. He does not speak for me. He is an idiot, cherry picked by Chris Matthews, completely unprepared. It almost seemed like a disaster, as this Judson (who?) guy repeatedly falls into Matthews hands on some severely basic history. Tea Party Nation Fail.

Chris should try taking on someone who knows how to speak. That was like watching a bully beat up a weakling. He did not address anything, and that conversation went nowhere.

I think if we acknowledge that the killer is mentally ill, the next step I think is to determine what, if anything, could have been done. And I think the answer might be that the lack of available facilities might have been a contributing factor.

Or, it's Sarah Palin.

So:

- Loughner Worked for Congresslug Giffords Campaign in 2007
- Loughner Attended Congresslug Giffords Campaign Events
- Loughner's YouTube channel was one of only two channels to which Congresslug Giffords office subscribed
http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=249381

Probably Loughner was fucking the brains out of of Giffords and, after she called it off when her husband found out, decided to blow her brains out instead.

Is Giffords whorish behavior the responsibility of the state of "civility" in political discourse?

It's clear Giffords stinks worse than my jockstrap after a lacrosse game.

Her office was a revolving door for lobbyists representing the UAE.
http://foreignlobbying.org/legislator/G ... Gabrielle/

Among the $1 million+ annually she was getting from special interests includes major military-industrial complex money, including Boeing, BAE, Lockheed, Honeywell, Northrup ... all the usual players. AT&T wrote her a $7,000 check ... she voted for legal immunity for AT&T from warrantless wiretapping.
http://www.opensecrets.org/politicians/ ... 829&type=I

Will Arizona be (a) better off, or, (b) worse off, if they no longer are represented by someone who is selling their vote to the highest bidder?
