Just out of curiousity - why do we need to blame someone other than the shooter for the tragedy? Is there some inherent need for us to do this? It appears, based on my reading of the news (and by news, I mean the actual news), that this guy was certifiable. I think being insane is enough of a reason without pointing to Fox News or Glenn Beck or President Obama or whatever.

I've found this to be true for the most part.
The reverse is conservatives calling liberals "unpatriotic," which we saw a lot of in the Bush years.
I was not trying to be partisan with my point.

I'm not blaming anyone other than the shooter for his actions (to answer your original point).
Yes, I know there is a direct correlation with conservatives labeling liberals us "unpatriotic". But there is a HUGE difference between saying someone is unpatriotic for a position and saying someone's speech caused a deranged individual to kill people. Associating any conservative with this idiot, especially without proof, is completely infuriating.
thegreekdog wrote:I'm simply pointing out that when Creepers blames this on conservatives, he's saying things remarkably similar to conservatives who tried to label liberals as unpatriotic when they were against the War in Iraq. Frankly, I think both sets of people are morons who lack any kind of knowledge about the issues or else are purposefully pointing out disgusting comparisons to force moderates from either camp. Either way, it's dishonest.

But saying someone's speech directly lead to murder is a huge stretch from putting a label of "unpatriotic" on someone.

For all we know he could have been way far left, and simply frustrated with his congresswoman not sharing his views. Listen to progressive radio sometime, they call liberal Congressppl "center-right", if it gives you an idea of how warped their minds are. Don't believe me, think about what Player would say. "She wasn't liberal enough", etc.

Nobody on the right is trying to blame this on lefty's. What people on the right are doing is defending against the charges that this athiest bible hater, long hair schizo pot smoking drop out who lists the Communist Mainfesto and Mien Kampf among his favorite books, is a right winger. He just isn't....

What does being an atheist have to do with anything, or everything else you're describing him as?

A bullseye could refer to arrows, or darts.

Or, it's Sarah Palin.
