Still catching up on scores...got the AL East updated all the way to current tonight.
That is quite the pennant chase with all five teams just six games apart in the standings. Yankees are back on top in the division.

One update...my Dodgers are sliding down to the bottom on the NL West...I'm in a slump!!!

The AL East is up to date...working through the rest of the divisions Tuesday night

Standings updated...AL East is looking like the power division with every team well above .500 as we approach mid-season.

Just a heads up...I mistakenly sent out the last batch of invites through my WNBA tourney, go ahead and join as normal. It just makes me remember where to find the baseball games when I'm searching through results.

All right, as a fun twist let's have an all-star game.

You will be matched up with your rank-partner from the other league.
So the #1 team in the NL will face off the the #1 team in the AL and so on down the line.

Each player will get five at-bats (see hitting chart)

ABs 1 & 5 will be on the AL home sets
ABs 2 & 4 will be on the NL home sets
and AB 3 will be on the baseball map.

I'm sending out all maps tonight, then I'll be in Disneyland for a week with the family. I'll update the All-Star game boxscore when I return, then we'll dive back into the end of the MLB schedule.

For the All-star game it will be important to pair up wins with your teammates just like stringing hits together in a regular game.

Here's a look at the MLB all-star game...most maps have been completed, but scoring is still early ... American League still batting in the first inning with a 2-0 lead.

We are now all the way through the lineup once, and the American League is up 6-0 early, while the National League has two outs in the third inning and is looking for its first run.

Lo Pan connects for a two-run triple to put the National League on the board in the fourth inning.

The American League holds a 6-3 lead as we head into the middle innings ... we are now two times through the lineup

Division leaders are starting to separate themselves out with the Texas Rangers holding the largest lead at 9.5 games in the AL West.

The NY Yankees lead the AL East and hold the best record with 70 wins so far.

In the National League the NY Mets and the San Francisco Giants each enjoy 4.5 game leads in their divisions.

And the American League wins the all-star game 8-3. (boxscore and play-by-play below).
A couple highlights...
The A.L. hit 18-for-43 (.419) with three extra-base hits.
b00060 led the team by going 4-for-4 at the plate with a pair of RBIs, while Darin44 hit 2-for-3 with a double and a pair of RBIs. The AL hit 5-for-9 (.555) in lead-off spots. The AL hit 7-for-14 (.500) with RISP.

The NL hit 9-for-35 (.257) also with three extra-base hits.
Lo Pan led the way by going 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs, while TheTrueNorth and jim1086 also had multiple hits and each had a double. The NL defense turned the game's only double play, and jim1086 threw a strikeout to get out of a bases-loaded jam in the eighth inning.

The New York Yankees lead the league with 79 wins and are also the highest scoring team and the best defensive team.

San Francisco does lead the league in shutouts though with 20.
