Homeland can be one word, and certainly doesn't need the apostrophe.

Sometimes you use nouns, sometimes you use adjectives. "Aztecs" are people, "comanche" describe a people.

European should be capitalized.

I before E, except after C.

Sentences require end punctuation.

"Territoriy" is spelled wrong.

English never was my strong subject :)

Are you sure? :)

Edit: Also I've double checked. Comanche is the same singluar and pural. Mapuche is as well so we should probably change that. So they are like Inuit, you don't say Inuits (okay some do, but they are wrong). Aztecs is the only one different plural that I know of.

Edit2: Okay wrong again.
It's Mapuches, Comanches, and Aztecs, but Inuit still stays the same.

And Portugese needs another "u" - Portuguese.

That's what you get for working with somebody whose first language isn't quite English.

This is my first look at this map... and I think it's cool as hell! Great idea.

As for the naming of the "landing zones" I think just using the word "Settlements" would work... the use of "Landing" is kindof understood I think.

The colors work for this board, but one thing I'd suggest is pumping up the contrast just a little?

Version 9

Made some small corrections in grammar and other things. Changed some icons and names.

To Do
Change Brazil a little so that open water connects Atlantic Ports.
Graphically update the legend areas.

I like this alot, especially having the "homeland" box too, definatly ups the 'historical' factor.

The old map look is good but could it be improved by lightening up the whole map? It may be my monitor but it seems s bit dark which makes the watermarks and text hard to read.

And just noticed after looking through the thread that you wanted to make the equator less intrusive. In the latest update it's lighter, but almost looks like a defect in the map... well not a defect but something like that. It might look good to keep it stronger but only have it on the water, like place it underneath the land layer.

Maybe you could add in a few rivers? Perhaps make rivers an attack route?

We thought about this but decided the map was already really open and the ports do enough to facilitate mobility. Thanks for commenting though. :)

Coleman, real quick its "Comanche" not "Comanches" and also "Aztec" not "Aztecs".

Would it be better if we made it all singular again? Maspuche too? I feel bad for jerking gimil around so much but oaktown said it was wrong and after seeing it spelled the other way in a lot of places I thought it was too. I think you know more then us on this though.
