i'm middle of the road. i'd like to think i have a taint of right wing, but in reality it's probably a little more lefty.

no.

Please, try and know what you are talking about.

Things such as political aleigances are never linear. They are barely even square either. I see my own political alleigance as cubic at a push, discounting the 4th dimension of time.

OK, i've lost you. Let me explain this to you.

There is no simple way of expressing one's political alleigance, as simply as you have tried. For instance, one may have capitalistic views (ie right wing) but may also hold liberal views (ie left wing). Som, which is he? left or right? left/right/left/right or is he a lefty-righty? righty-lefty? NO!

Basically, in the 2 dimensional thought line of these general subjects, there is thought to be a cross-section of fiscal views, and non-fiscal views....where would a market-liberal stand on your linear scale? where would a stalinist stand on your scale? see, just to say that one has staunchly liberal views, does not mean to say one is a communist...capiche?

So, this covers most eventualities, although I admit that the more intellectual political debater (ie, me) will see problems in this 2 dimensional idea as well....I will not attempt to explain why I feel this.

But anywho...try in future to lay your options out more logically in future.

I have not voted in this poll.

meh... the 1-dimensional view works as a basic "in a nutshell" summary of your stance, while the 2-dimensional view explains more fully.

i don't understand exactly how it goes into the 3rd dimension. care to enlighten us?

I wouldn't call it a taint. In fact, I am as far from the asshole of politics as possible. But if you want to call it that I'm left taint.

I consider myself down the middle with a taint of left wing. My biggest issue is raising the minimum wage.

I am left. The problem is that in Greece there are about 10 left parties. Only 2 however manage to get to the parliament and they just won't co-operate.

I am not a liberal because here liberal is a completely different thing from liberals in USA. They are the those from the right wing and they have completely ruined the country.

Picture for that test isn't working too well, so let's just put it in numbers

Economic Left/Right: -4.12
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.51

hmm... would that be a taint, or slightly average?
I'll go with average, just in case I didn't understand some of those questions quite right

A 3 dimensional system seems to be what you are discribing; three axis: Social, Economic and Motivation. Social and Ecomonic are self-explamatory (Bolshevics are authoritarian socially and collective economically), Motivation is how far you would go to further your "Cause".
