PackRat, We are saying that the Bible is full of crap, and you are still using it to prove a point. Don't you first have to prove that the Bible is accurate and true?

People just think of the flood like just water falling from the sky and sitting on the earth to create one big ocean. hahahahaha that's the funniest thing I've ever heard. How did the flood happen? Where did the water come from?
If you think about it there wasn't that much water above the earth (ground!) to cover that much of the earth at once. On day 2 in the creation account there God seperated the waters. He created oceans, seas, lakes, springs, and what I like to call the upper atmosphere. The upper atmosphere was a layer of water that sat above all the other layers in the atmosphere to turn the earth in to a green house. It filtered UV rays and stuff that would be harmful from reaching the earth.

I'm a firm believer in the idea that all the continents were together at one time and that during the time of the flood they seperated. The underwater resevours probably came from under the oceans and seas as well. between that and the earth's plates shifting it probably would cause such termoil in the waters that yes it would help to very quickly bury plants and animals in the area.

So you are telling me that the Earth was once super-duper hot all over? So... no frozen poles, but there still wasn't enough water to drown everything.... So God used the 'upper atmosphere' of water? Then God decided he liked the new Earth's temp, so he banished all the extra water for good? Rather than return it to the Atmosphere?
And that rather than Magma, the Earth was once full of Water? Cauze I don't see the cave connection, unless God filled them or somethin'. But! Then God banished that water too?
And Plate Techtonics have little to do with continental drift, it's cauzed by water pressure or something? All the continents shifted(from being one massive continent) to their current positions in about 30 days?
Are you on crack? You are aware that the continents are still moving right? Cuz, I don't see water leaking from anywhere today... Certainly you have only sourced the Bible on this. Was the crack good?
And we know all this to be certain because the Bible says so? You still have to prove the Bible correct first.
What about the Geologic table? There is no worldwide flood, or 30 day shift there. Or the frozen Pole core samples that today haunt me in the global warming thread? They do not speak of your 'hypothesis' here.

Now....what happens in a green house. things grow bigger! when the earth was one big green house, plants, animals, and humans grew much bigger than they do know, i.e, giant sloths, mammoths. Pretty much everything you can think of.
WTF? Do you really believe this? People and beasts have shrunk because the Earth has cooled? I don't even know what to say to this. First it's wrong, again because your 'evidence' comes straight from the Bible. Secondly, you think people were once big enough, and around to put T-Rex in a head lock? I have yet to see that fossil. So, that's dumb.
As far as big creatures like dinosaurs, mammoths and such go, it only makes sense that they go extinct, or evolve. Large animals always go first, because they were big targets for food, and because they themeselves required a lot of food energy. I hate how I have been forced to argue stupid here.
I don't friggin' get your 'hypothesis', and would love to see it evidenced.... I don't think even your fellow Christians are gonna support you here.....

I know this is probably going to piss a few people off that i'm referencing this resource again, but it can't be helped. now i'm not saying that the flood is the only reason we have oil, but it explaines why there would be such vast amounts in any given spot.
Ask a geologist why there is vast amounts of oil in certain places, and I bet he/she won't reference the Bible. Ever wonder why that is?
No.
