Just like you don't have to win to get points in a Terminator game.
You can certainly add my vote to this.
Because you get points based on defeats, winning is not all that important, is often a secondary goal in Terminator. If you have a choice between defeating three weaker opponents or one strong one, it makes sense to take out the three in terminator ... whereas in a different game type it doesn't. The medal should definitely reflect this difference, BUT the number of defeats required should then be multiplied ... perhaps to 6 times the current number (average of 4 & 8 ).
Why should the number even change...? People would be getting less unique kills for each game they win, but likely the same amount of unique kills per terminator game played.
This may also introduce a different strategy, where you will go after someone in a terminator game just because you have not previously killed them.

I agree with this -> I don't think there is a need for the numbers to change.
