I once took a correspondence course with a company who's motto was "aut optimum aut nihil". The stuff was noticeably outdated (this was a text on law). The girl on the phone was quite flummoxed when I said "I didn't realise it was a choice - but I seem to be getting more "nihil" than "optimum"!"
