Even when he was in that soldier disguise with his makeup off he still looked, well, like the Joker.

I don't know, I might have a heart attack before I could get the chance.

The Dark Knight kicked so much ass...I saw it at midnight on the day it came out in IMAX -- easily the best experience I've ever had in my life. I'd say my favorite scene was the very first one, the bank robbery with the Joker and his henchmen. Man...I can't wait to see it for the fourth time...

I'm seeing it tonight, for the third time, in Imax.

It made it to 300 million in 10 days, 6 days ahead of the next closest ever, that's amazing.

Only thing I didn't like about the movie were the little noises the joker made when he talked, like he had too much spit in his mouth.

IT HURTED MY EARS!

Seriously, I saw it twice in two cinemas, and each had the volume up to "bleeding-ears" amplitude.

Finally got to see this movie today, and was completely blown away. Took the kids with me, the girl was a little scared but thought it was "awesome!". The boy had seen it before, but still didn't make a sound in the whole two and a half hours.

I thought the best line was "So your client is a multi-millionaire. And you think he's also a vigilante at night, beating villains to a pulp with his bare hands. And you want to blackmail him? Good luck with that."

Yeah that was great. In my opinion everyone who created this movie was a genius. To create a movie with that much action and maintain a coherent plot is amazing.

I have seen far too many mvies of late with holes in the plot the size of Jupiter.

Most recent: Journey to the Centre of the Earth. Only worth seeing if you check your critical facilities at the door.

I think an important thing to remember is that while the Dark Knight is putting up quite impressive numbers, they are a bit misleading. When people compare it to Titanic, its important to realize ticket prices have ballooned quite a bit since then. I think i read somewhere that the Dark Knight would have to get to about 900 million to beat Titanic pound for pound. Though it could still end up being the most profitable movie if it doesnt break titanics amount, simply because it was made for less.

Either way its an entertaining move to see.

I don't care about box office receipts, only whether I like a movie and can recommend it. Didn't see "Titanic", haven't seen most record-breakers and blockbusters.

Like Jones said, don't really care if it breaks the record because after I watched Titanic, I learned that those records can be broken by some pretty crappy movies.

Case in point, that utter pile of rancid shit "Meet the Spartans" beating out "Cloverfield"

Oh I loved that. Added a lot to his character, I think. Of course, that's just the drama nerd in me telling me that acting is 90% body language, 10% dialogue.

Compared to Gone With the Wind, however, Titanic would lose soundly. If based on ticket sales, as in, total number of tickets sold, not how much money changed hands, but just the number of tickets sold worldwide, nothing has even come close to Gone With the Wind.

Of course, back then there weren't as many total movies coming out, splintering the market. There was also no DVD or VHS. To see the movie again, one would have to see it in the theater. And reels were regularly circulated among theaters for repeat runs.

Very true, i just find there seems to be quite a bit of buzz about this being the biggest movie of all time, when in all actuality its not quite there.

I don't think it will be. As good as it is and with all the extra attention it gets from Heath Ledger's death, I still don't think it will have the long term impact that films like Star Wars, Gone With The Wind and a few others have had.
