a) Casual vs SpeedWe rate speed games with same ratio as casual games. That's very stupid, it would be better to not rate them at all. But, fortunately, that's problem is very easy to solve.
I think we should rate speed games with coefficient 0.2 (multiply with 4 instead of 20). So, when you beat 5 players with same score as yours - you should earn 20 points instead of 100. When you lose - you lose 4 instead of 20. It's that simple.
"Speed industrials" shouldn't object - speed games point farming would still remain MUCH more efficient than playing casual (24h) games.
I wanted to officially suggest that change the very moment speed games have been established (because it's so natural). The only reason I missed to do it was - laziness.
What do you think?
b) Single vs TeamI' don't see a reason to separate those two game types. You can't be a good player in one and a bad player in other type. Everybody plays what s/he prefers... It's true that winning a team game is much easier, but point reward difference is perfectly corresponding. So, once again, I don't see any problem there...
c) Sequential vs FreestyleWell, we have a general problem - point farming. Although this problem is most obvious in this context, it's still a general problem. Manufactures are superior to old-fashioned workshops; industrial factories are superior to manufactures; robotic factories are superior to factories with human workers... You know what I mean
*?
* (Probably not, because of my bad English... So I have to ask some extremely fine English speaker (sorry jiminski, but you're the only one I know
) to explain what I am trying to say. And please, explain them the significance of Spinning Jennifer
)In one word - you can't be on the very top without highly automated point robbing of weaker players. Knowing that freestyle games are much more suitable for point farming, we can claim the conclusion:
You can't be on the very top without (industrial!) playing of freestyle games. Is it a problem? Yes. Do we have a solution? I don't think so.
Yes, best freestylers rule and we have to live with that. Splitting scoreboards would achieve nothing...
