However considering i am a Anglican, i don't believe gay people should have any part in church ruling though i do not mind any gay people in the church at all, i do not like gay people flaunting their' homosexuality. Because it is wrong to be gay in christianity i am trying to be as leniant as my religion takes me.

I will post my views as me as a christian soon, but i wanted to get this done first.

i also do not like gay flaunting in public. when the st. patrick's day parade becomes about how openly gay that you are, i tend to think that the holiday has been hijacked. if it is a part of a church's doctrine that gays not be allowed to serve as a part of the ministry, that would simply be the way that it is. people are completely free to simply convert to a denomination that does not discriminate against an individuals sexuality.

Do you mind heterosexual "flaunting in public", too?

lol very valid point... but society deems it not appropriate behaviour for the most part... America moreso it appears...

sexuality really is a private thing in my opinion. a woman can be dressed provocatively and i would say that i find it distracting. i can't say that i have ever seen a heterosexuality parade through the center of my home town or in the media. but if i did, i would say that it is just stupid.

i think that Mardigraw is a sad event for its open exploit of frivolous sexuality. it encourages drinking in excess and sex. a most regrettable combination, in my opinion.

the place to garnish gay rights is in legislation. advances there are applauded.

I think the correct spelling is "Mardi Gras".

Happy to be of service, it's what the S&GN usergroup exists for after all. Corrections, that is, not Mardi Gras.

PARTY WITH S&GN

Git down!

[no I believe you'll find that's "Get down"]
[In fact, the phrase is meaningless, as I am currently standing on the floor. Unless you mean "Lie down"]

Git outta my face, you Mutha!

[No, I think you'll find that should be "Get out of my face, you mother".]
[In fact, to be totally correct, I was some distance in front of your face, I'm a male and I have no children. Your meaning therefore escapes me.]

THUMP!

fat Tuesday. yes, that is what it is, however the Mardi Gras has become a big week long party of drinking and fornication in New Orleans. women will show you their tits for a string of beads, and so on. its lewd.

I am not completely sure of your point.

The US Episcopalian church and Evangelical Lutheran Church no longer condemn homosexuality, though Episcopalian church has allowed churches to decide on whether they will permit homosexual clergy. The Roman Catholic Church and many others condemn any practice of homosexuality, though they generally no longer condemn folks for simply being homosexual. Only a few churches still believe in "converting" homosexuals to heterosexuality. However, the bottom line is that the debate within the church derives solely upon what the Bible does or does not say.

(The debate outside the church is quite different and depends on whether the activity is actually harmful to others, regardless of whether it is permitted within Christianity or not.)
