That is a very strange response... guess you really weren't much of a Hillary supporter to begin with
if you can now pledge your vote to her opponant.

its really not going to be uncommon though. The polling numbers seem to suggest, at least theres a chance, that a sizeable chunk of hillary supporters may break party lines and vote for mccain, who is certainly not the exact opposite of clinton.

That's just ridiculous. Even a fruit loop like Kucinich has thrown his full support behind Obama, as well as his supporters.

i think the numbers have been pretty consistent in the double digits to be honest. Its fairly serious business.

Yeah, but some supporters seem to be clinnically retarded.

It makes no sense unless race become a factor.

I actually dont think its primarily race, though it could be a part to a certain degree ( i couldnt approximate to what degree exactly ).

I think a lot of hillary supporters believed for a while that it was a slam dunk that she was going to be the nominee and then the president. Many thought so back when the primaries were starting at least. I think the fact that hillary did not really campaign very well, and sort of ended up polarizing herself more (if such a thing was possible) by dragging out the contest, forced many of her supporters to feel jilted.

I think you can tell when someone says i was hopeful but disappointed when obama didnt select hillary as the veep, that this is a person who will likely not be voting obama.

No, they have to do with race. ;)

I think it's more of an American Idol mindset. Oh no, my favorite senator got voted out! I loved their (insert physical attribute)! This is all that other guys fault! Well, we'll see who gets the last laugh!

I'll believe anything at this point. It seems we have about the same proportion of idiots as there are in other countries (you know, the heavy majority) but ours really take the stupid cake. This is rather old by now, but http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmEp97yQcRQ

This makes absolutely no sense. Obama and Hillary are far more similar on their stances than Obama and McCain. A vote for Obama is voting for a candidate more lined up with Hillary than McCain, almost a complete opposite.

This has strong implications, that I won't mention.

I think you are right, jay. Most dems that are voting for McCain are considering race as the issue http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPyeKe-EFf4. I just don't understand why Clinton supporters don't get behind Obama, both Hillary and her husband have succumbed and are supporting Obama and Hillary gave one of the best concession speeches I have ever heard. If I was a Dem, I would vote for Obama. His stance isn't all that different than Hillary's, plus Biden is a great choice.

Biden appeals more to me than any of the other Dems offered us. However, I do not plan on voting Democratic...I will be at the RNC in Minneapolis in Sept. I will talk with Ron Paul and Jessie Ventura. We will decide which way we are heading as far as the R3VOLUTION goes. The rumor is that Ron Paul may support Alan Keyes (who is also black) of the AIP (American Independent Party).

i have never been much of a fan of these kinds of clips save their comedic value. they can't be taken seriously. at least 2 of those guys were homeless wackos and the rest of them were just stupid. i wonder if there were any people in that survey that actually has a clue.

i don't think this is the fair at all. i think it has to do more with political centrality than it does about race. i think you assume too much. and i don't think that clip, which shows a single wacko flippin out portrays the American populous.

"political centrality"? That makes no sense, there is only "right" in US politics.

Well the obvious Iliad

A person's religious views go hand in hand with how they view the world and what principles they may live by. It goes without saying that a person will probably try to govern by the principles which are consistent with their outlook on life.

Then why wouldn't a Hillary supporter vote for Obama, who is a Democrat and basically has the same agenda in mind, especially now with Biden aboard? Not to mention that Obama has Hillary's full support (along with her husband's)....Just explain to all of us where the differences between policies are really all that vast. McCain isn't all that far off either from the Democratic stance, in my opinion. The only one that offered real change in governmental policy was Ron Paul.

Biden is still a good choice for Obama. Anybody remember this? :

Well...it doesn't really matter all that much; the vice president's main purpose is to balance the ticket. Obama's young; Biden is old. Obama has no foreign policy experience whatsoever, Biden has plenty. It all sounds great on paper, but gets completely messed up in the real thing when you add this little piece in.

The Vice President doesn't do shit.

Sure Obama says that Biden will handle the foreign policy now, but if they get into office (which I'm beginning to doubt more and more everyday) Obama will be the one calling all the shots; while Biden is in the corner twiddling his thumbs.

And it's not like Delaware is a major swing state right? This is just another chance for McCain to capitalize here. The only way McCain could screw this all up is if he takes someone like Liebermann. He needs to take a real conservative to reassure his base.

For one race has nothing to do with it, I beleave we need expierance in the oval office, obama has less expierance than what bush had and look what happend, i dont think he is ready for the presidents position, What has he done for his state, besides them having the highest taxes and being the most deficit state, and obama talks about change and shaking up washington, so he goes and picks biden who has lost 2 times already, its the same old politics, get whoever might just help with the poll numbers, if obama really wanted to show some change put a woman on there like hillary, but in fact i dont think hillary would have wanted the job, she wants obama to lose that way in 4 years she has another chance not in 8 years, I am still not happy with how this primary was handled. to think that in america for us just not to count votes (michigan and flordia) and to have Dean to decide that in which he is on obama's staff is just wrong and i am a democrat. i was raised poor, been to prison, and now im very successful, i have always liked McCain, he is a straight talk kind of guy, i beleave what he says, and McCain is considering an old democrat like Lieberman for the vp, now that is thinking of change have a republican and democrat in the white house, and i pay enough taxes for a whole family to live good, i dont want my taxes raised like what obama will do for sure, even my dad who has voted democrat for 35 years will change over to McCain, we are not fooled by fancy speeches of obama, even biden himself said obama is to unexperienced for the white house HAHAHA, what a contradiction, if i was an obama supporter i would be pissed. i do think its a time for change, we have children starving right here in america and ppl sleeping in ditches, kids with no health care, blacks are having an epidemic in premature child births and child deaths in some of the largest city's in america, obama talks about how he is going to change things on day one, but come on whoever wins is going to have a challenge ahead of them. and i would just for once like obama to admit that he is wrong, and he was wrong about the iraq war, there is noticeable change in iraq, all of us people on this planet are brothers and sisters and shouldnt we all have the same rights as human beings. obama is not god, he is human and makes mistakes like the rest of us, like having a crook buy his home for him. and now obama is using negative adds. He has just proved he is just like the rest of them politicians. Do whatever it takes to win.

because you are saying "most dems." i think that it is more likely that a democrat would vote for mccain because he is more central than obama. he is pretty far to the left, as i understand it.

You guys that are for McCain, he is not able to answer to the question: how many houses do you own? also, when asked What type of person would you consider to be moderately wealthy? he said: Anyone who makes at least $5,000,000 a year, preferably more. A little distanced, maybe? Not only that, but he plans to increase bushes tax cuts for the rich, continue the war in Iraq (for a bit), and make operations in Afghanistan, and possibly Georgia now, yet he promises to stable the economy within one year. Talk about false promises....

He has just proved he is just like the rest of them politicians. Do whatever it takes to win.

If you compare the issues and leave out the "experience" Obama lines up a lot better with Hillary than does McCain. You want to talk about Biden already running and losing? McCain has too. I voted for McCain in the 2000 primaries. But I have since woken up to the realization that his foreign policy is all wrong. We need to keep our noses over here in THIS country! And address the problems here. As for experience, we have had it time after time, nothing changes. And nothing will change with McCain. Now, I'm not an Obama supporter and will not vote for him but I sure as hell ain't voting for McCain. 8 years of the Bush disaster is plenty for me thanks. Lets just hope Bush isn't trying to start a WWIII before he leaves.

for one, this Iraq war is our concern, we were keeping our noses over here when 9/11 happened, the world is a big melting pot and what goes on over there effects us, look at Korea and Iran, they are huge threats to our childrens, and look at this Russia/Georgian conflict, it has been the decider of our oil prices, we need to become an independent nation, we our experiencing the biggest transfer of wealth in the history of mankind, the chineese and saudies are getting rich of us, and about McCain not knowing how many houses he has, i think thats understandable since its his wife thats wealthy and she has lots of investment propery, im sure McCain is very busy with the elections to keep up with it, and when he said that being rich is 5 million, he was making a pun at obama since obama has 4 million, i own a moving company and have moved lots of rich people out of there multi million dollor homes and that they have lost everything, even when they had millions at one time, i have said the same thing to my brother you aint rich untill you got over 5 million way before McCain did. we need someone who can and that has managed crises, not someone who just talks about it. we all know that things our bad, hell i make half of what i use to becouse of fuel cost, and we are talking about thousands in just a few short years. and about taxes why should i pay for people who don't want to do nothing but have babys and collect a check, i do beleave in welfare, my dad is on disability but there needs to be better management of the funds not just tax people more to give the people who have no motivation to succeed, we should help the people who need the help, i think mccain can get this country back on track, and people talk about the Iraq war like its a bad thing, wasn't it not to long ago that the French came and fought right along side of us in the revolutionary war to help us gain independence from england. Just be thankful you where born here and not in a dictatorship. we are lucky we can say f*ck bush and not worry about being killed for it.
