barterer2002 wrote:So here is a question. You're contending that the scoreboard used to list 2500 players and now lists 19750? How does someone get off the scoreboard except by a ban/bust? Even players that aren't active are still listed on the scoreboard. Is it possible that they just cleaned up a bunch of players who were busted over the past 6 years or so or that you're 2500 number is incorrect (or both).
Maybe I'm not understanding how the scoreboard works and someone can correct me but at the moment, I'm rejecting your general premise.
azezzo wrote:I joined this site after googling online risk and C.C. came up as the result of the search. they had their disclamers that this was different than "risk"., but the map was the map with the same terminology and game play. i did not look and say wow, they have 88 variations of risk, how cool. I said great they have risk, call it classic, call it whatever. I used to play 70+ games at a time, now about a dozen and 8 are a private tourney.
jbrettlip wrote:Get the new classic off the front page. That would be a huge help. If I came here looking for risk, I would leave when I saw that. Put Europe, NA, and World 2.1 up there to stoke interest.
MajorRT wrote:joecoolfrog wrote:Partly its the loss of classic, many people enjoy playing risk and you cannot any more, partly its the amount of cheats, multis and farmers who have discredited the achievement of getting a high rank.
Agree, and would emphasize the loss of classic; some players like complex maps, but many enjoy complex strategy on very well known maps (war games are played on MAPS, not artists or symbols)!
Night Strike wrote:A member that has not had a completed game in the last 30 days is not shown on the Scoreboard. Busts do remove the player from the scoreboard, but that wouldn't have accounted for 25000 members. Besides, was the site ever actually up that high?? I don't think the scoreboard ever had 100 pages (250 members per page). I think the highest was probably about 22500 active users.

Wow we've got ourselves a character here? You don't think that some sort of statement is being made when the sites membership goes from 25000 to 19750? So you must have also thought nothing happened when Dow Jones plunged from 10000+ down to 8000. Keep in mind that the conquerclub user plunge is something farely recent. It's not like this has been happening slowly over time, this is a plunge.
he probably farms, thats why he's so non challant about the situation...
plus with only 115 posts, his opinion doesnt matter. everyone knows you have to be in the 750 club before people pay attention to you

LOL and you being a twostripe freemium your opinion does?
To both of you...I enjoy playing CC and recognize what is and is not out of my control. I enjoy the site and many folks personalities as well. But this whole"Oh my God what shall we do mentality" serves no purpose. I play the game with my friends. I play anywhere between 10 to 20 games at a time and have no trouble filling them.
My life is to busy and important to obsess over things out of my control and frankly it serves no useful purpose.
Heh and PPS look at my games and tell me I farm. Unlike others I have earned my rank playing against smart and skilled folks without playing 2 player flip a coin games.
