Today's movie scene is one of my personal favorites. In honor of it's great lines I have nicknamed it "Huckleberry". That's right it's from Tombstone. It takes place right after the big gunfight early in the movie and deals with Doc Holiday challenging Ringo to a duel.

Strike's movie scene of the day has been brought to you by the wolf/curl campaign.

Loved Tombstone.

what do you want on your tombtone???

Have you ever seen Tombstone?

No. Just this movie with bad acting. Besides judging a movie based on acting only carries a little more weight than judging it by its special effects. Translation. Acting is the second worst way to judge if a movie's good or bad.

Go to the nearest movie rental place and buy it on DVD. Trust me you won't regret it.

What's the version they have for Futurama? That one was quite catchy. "Santa Clause is gunning you down!"

It's time for strike's book of the day.

Today's book is The Appeal by Grisham. I haven't read it yet myself but I do know a few people who have (or have at least started it) and all of them have loved it. It's also the book I got my mom for Christmas (Grisham and Crichton(sp?) are her favorite authors).

Strike's book of the day has been brought to you by the wolf/curl campaign.

Well I guess somebody has to say it.

"bah humbug." There now that that is out of our system let us all enjoy Christmas. Even if you don't actually celebrate it.

Christmas is the holiday I hate the most. I'm hiding in my house until I go into work tonight at 7 for 12 hours.

We're having a fine Xmas in the curl household.
The curlette got the latest "Now That's What I Call Music" CD, and I have to say I don't.
The idea's been around longer in the UK, where they must be up to nearly no 70 by now (it's only no 29 here). n fact they've been around so long, Mrs Curl bought the first 6 or 7, and consoder them as being from her era.

What we need is less "Now that's What I Call Music" and more cowbells.

In other news, I got in a fight with a pit bull today. It's my neighbor's dog. Apparently it got off the chain and came running at me. It's a somewhat small pit bull so it wasn't as hard to fight as it could have been, though I still got quite a few scratches from it.

Nasty. I still got scars from about two years ago where a nondescript but vicious dog bit the back of my legs. I think it was trying to hamstring me. It was chained up, but the chain was long enough for it to reach the sidewalk.
