How does having an application increase your chances, specifically this one?

It doesn't necessarily.

In sequential (casual or speed) it does absolutely nothing aside from making you look fast. In casual freestyle it can help once grabbing a kill at the beginning of round is necessary, but for the early rounds its pretty much irrelevant. In speed freestyle it changes the game.

If you read any of the older clickable maps arguments, substitute in the name of this script and it'll read the same.

Moral of the story is, if you think its abuse don't play freestyle. Or better yet, implore the the more programming inclined never to release such a script instead of attacking the people that aren't even using it yet.

PS - This script has shortcomings CM does not. In fog games, you could run straight into an unforeseen stack and you already told the game what to do, this means you're SOL. Speed isn't strategy.

Speed is not a strategy, but as of right now, it is almost everything in speed Freestyle games.. Sad..

Enterprise, we don't think that this script is a good idea for the site. I would suggest not continuing to work on it because it creates a big disadvantage for the casual gamer (the kind of person this site is geared toward). I am personally pretty impressed with the power of your script and your intuition to see the need and how to make it work, but unfortunately it is not something that can be used on CC.

Based on your original question, I think you were checking if this type of script would be allowed, so I'm sorry to say that it isn't. I know you may receive pressure from some people to continue working on the script and distribute it secretly, but don't give in to that. If the script continues to be used a delay will just be added into the game engine to slow automated turns down to human speed, which will make the time spent on this script a waste. Sorry to give you the bad news, but maybe you can go through the suggestions board and try to make a script that meets some other need on the site!

thanks for the feedback...sadly I do agree with you guys :) consider it mothballed...but I wouldn't be surprised if others are working on similar scripts - and that we will see their versions in action soon - so you might want to make this a stronger policy site-wide (or implement the delay as you mentioned). you have a nice site...i'll take a look at the suggestions board to see what's there.

I'm glad to have read this thread, and that a CC rep has voiced a great statement.

This is Dec. 27 and I just saw the script in action but it was being used by enterprise47, and when I brought it up in the game chat, this thread was posted.


The limit on attacks should be limited to minimum one every two seconds, preferably one attack every 3-8 seconds. Just fyi, my max speed is about one attack every two seconds, without clickable maps.

After having played dozens of speed freestyle games, I never heard once of clickable maps- Until this thread just now. Honestly, I personally don't think clickable maps makes any difference to me, but I can see how it's really disruptive to players who play slower. When playing FS, I thought players were just faster than me when deploying and attacking in the first few seconds of a round, or the last few seconds of a round. It doesn't matter too much to me if it's clickable map based because it's the nature of clicking fast, though the existance of clickable maps should be broadcast outside the forum.

This warp script is something I'd vote against anyday though. I saw it in action, and have to say if a site-wide speed limit on attacks, I'd be happy.


A limit of half a second still seems too short, even one second.
