Anyone here find amusing the OP only has his hat because he abuses the point system himself? He joins dubs and trips games with low ranked players to maximize point game - hilarious. If you are going to try to convince people that you should play with people of similar rank and not abuse the point system, I suggest you should play with (whether it be on the same team or not) people of similar rank as well.

Another example of abusing the point scoring system as well as inflating your RR, which is flawed depending on what usage you use it for. Amusing that thread would suggest you're good depending on your RR, which is high because... of such abuse! Although it's only abuse by your standards, not mine.

I'm glad that I wasn't the only person to notice this. I'm currently in three games with him where that is the case. I don't mind if he gets some points from me this way but if he thinks he's going to keep playing me or other high ranks like this he's crazy. Most of them do not appreciate it. Most everyone knows that it is common courtesy to join with a relatively equal team or higher.

When you gang up on a Bully it is retribution. Besides, If you claim to be the best you should be able to beat anyone that steps up. You do not have the required talent that it takes to hold your rank and you know it. Unless you play your newbie peers, that is.

So it's retribution now? As long as he does it back? So if I start abusing, but it's vs other farmers, I am... a good player?

Once again, I never claimed anything of the sort. That is your personal understanding of what the scoring system should reflect. There is no best player and there never will be!

Retribution or Contribution, he still better change the way he chooses to join team games or else he'll find himself on many high rank's foe lists. I wouldn't expect you to understand pork n' sniff because you rarely play team games and joining equal team games amongst your rank is a hell of a lot easier than anyone around the OP's or above. Herpes, I would like to point out that in 2 out of 3 of those games, the last guy that joined was not my intended teammate.

The game in question in this thread pitted players ranked at the 63rd percentile against those in the 99th percentile. I would consider them totally outclassed. I don't think somebody already in the 99th percentile should rise even higher against their peers by playing somebody so much lower. Let's stop the inflation. If it's not farming - ok, it's not farming. Whatever you want to call it it is lame.

So you are complaining about a team averaging in the 96th percentile (2035 points avg of my actual team) challenging you, yet you go after teams at the 63rd percentile.

Doesn't this suggest a problem in the scoring system?

That 99th against 96th is unfavorable due to points inflation and 99th against 63rd is much more favorable?

More importantly, what affect does discussing the nature of farming have anymore? Lack has made it against the rules, so if the boot fits, it'll be put on their feet by the C&A staff. If you have a specific player you want to report, do it in C&A, don't flame up people with higher ranks than you because you feel they don't "deserve" it. If you have no one to report, and no conclusive evidence to support it, then there is really no point in arguing this further, at the very least in this specific subforum.

If that is too complicated, here it is in a nutshell, without all that needless reasoning and intelligence. I mean, who needs it?

You are the highest rated layer, so how can anyone "do it back" ? You, going after Noobies, is being a bully. You can not, or will not fight somebody your own size. If you are targeted by some of your victims, along with a little help from their big brother, who by the way is still smaller than you, -You should not cry.
I would also like to dispute your ignorant claim that, There is no best player. I understand your reasoning behind this statement. It is like a down hill ski racer. Once you get to a certain level of perfection, there is not a whole lot of difference between the best in the field. Anyone of them, on any given day, can take the Gold. That is why they measure the winner in 100 thousandths of a second. The best are pitted against each other in many races throughout the season to see who is the most consistent, and who trips up less. After a time, one single racer emerges as the best of the best.
You have corrupted this process, and run up your score by playing inferior players. You have robbed the other top notch players from their chance to compete for the gold.

I have read many of your posts, and I perceive you to be a somewhat bright young lad. You have figured out, along with others that you don't need to play your peers to make it to the top. You have sacrificed a great deal to pursue this quest. All those mind numbing hours of playing un-challenging games against players that had not even a clue, of how to put on their skis. You do not understand why you should have to play your peers, when they are all just as good as yourself. What is the point ? There is no best.

So lets just have a different sort of contest. Lets determine the best by who can beat up the most on the bunny slope.
For most people, the challenge is what is fun. Your sort of contest is certainly not challenging, and only fun for bullies. The vast majority of people come here for the fun of a challenging game. They are the ones that "pay the bills". It is not in the best interests of CC to have these people prayed upon by a pack of bullies.

Probably the best thing said here, as there is no shortage of good players on this site and a wide variety of attitudes and approaches to the game itself. Choose your own poison and when you enjoy playing the game, that is a reward in itself.

When I look at the scoreboard (which is rare) I'm most surprised by people who have completed thousands of games in a year or so... and less impressed with who has accumulated the most points. Although some of the statistical ratios of 'total points/games played' can be interesting and impressive too.
