Consorting with the Europeans, I believe.

Also, I'd take that site a little more seriously if it's front page didn't look like this:

Everyone who wrote no should have to protect themselves when the riots start. They don't get police protection, cause there won't be any flippin money to fund them.

I see. And the solution is to keep printing it to increase its worth?

Circulating, yes. Dumping piles of money everywhere, not so much. Nor is shifting most of the money to one market in particular, while leaving others out to dry, as this and dumping billions into it is not going to increase value at all. Just look at Zimbabwe, or post Nazi Germany. Or 1930s US. It took a power hungry, psycopathic, racist dictator to get the world's economy going again.

No, it took spending. Compare our deficit now to the deficit of WWII.

And Nappy, I was answering your question. Money being circulated increases overall wealth.

Not always, just circulating is not sufficient. Before WWII Germans circulated quite a bit of money but not too many of them were wealthy. Or take even Zimbabwe these days.

Why, for telling people to ask better questions so they don't have to repeat themselves in a complete circle of questioning?

That's the other extreme, and is the complete opposite of the problem we have right now.

We don't disagree. We do disagree about how that process comes about.

Your thought-process runs thus:

P1. Greater velocity of money leads to increased wealth. (Crude formulation, but it'll do for now).

P2. Money is not being circulated at the moment.

C1. We need to circulate more money.

OK. Fine.

However, you add this clause onto C1: therefore money is worthless (no, its real value is in fact rising if deflation occurs), and therefore the solution is to print more money. If anything is going to make it more worthless, it is in fact, printing more of it.

It is in fact, a simple matter of mathematics:

V = nQ/M, where M is the M3 aggregate.

Increase it, and you decrease V.

I hate everyone who doesn't support the stimulus bill.

Like, with a clenched jaw kind of hate.

What about people who don't support stimulants.

Like, the kind that professional athletes claim they didn't know would enhance their performance.

Anyway, the bill is law...we just have to deal with it.
