I don't know if someone else has suggested this or not, but I have a suggestion for a map...basically, the Clue board game. You could have different people and weapons in different rooms, territories for the pathways to different rooms, etc. And you could have bonuses for having so many people/suspects and weapons. If you have ever played the board game, you would understand the concept, I believe.
Now comes the interesting detailed part...
For inside the rooms, it could be somewhat like your Supermax map in that any object inside the room can attack any other object inside the room. (Say Mr Green, Miss Scarlett, and the Knife, and the Piano are in the same room [Ballroom in this case]...Miss Scarlett could attack Mr Green, Piano or the Knife) But the pathways from the different rooms...It would be too much to turn each little space into a little territory, but I could see being able to turn long stretches into territories, like most of your other maps. Just not the little individual squares as their own territories like the PacMan map.
I don't know...it's a crazy idea for a map I've had ever since I came here. A few friends of mine on here are refugees from Clue on another website, and thought it would be cool if a Clue map was made here. Don't know if there are copyright issues to get around like you did with your PacMan board, but we would love for this Clue map to become a reality.
If you think this could be a popular map, but can't really figure out what I'm trying to explain, let me know. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.

i like the idea in england it's called cluedo though i think in america it's different and copyright issues!

Here's an idea to get around the copyright issue...call the map Conquer Detective or something like that (PacMan is called Conquer Man, so no originality points for me on that one).

Agreed some one do it. Make it objective and have each player start as a person and work their way around

You mentioned making it an objective map...did you have a certain objective in mind? Curious.

It's already been suggested here. Looks like it died due to lack of interest....

You might want to contact the guy who did this for permission, to see if he can help, or to ask if he wants to restart it... unless your ideas are a lot different. ;)

That looks like the basic concept (once you just focus on the overall picture and not just each individual picture on the thing...that just looks weird)....just not at all what I had in mind for this map though. I was thinking the passageways from room to room would just be passageways, not really have anything in them like bear attacks or whatever. And instead of having the suspects where they would normally start, I think it would be more fun/interesting to have the suspects just hanging out in whatever room, and make the insides of the rooms more of a Supermax style, including possible room fixtures as other things/territories to own (like a piano in a music room, computer in an office, etc). Other than passageways, I would put all items (room fixtures, weapons, and suspects) all in rooms.
My logic is that in Clue/Cluedo (I've heard both games are basically the same), all the action really goes on in the rooms, but nothing is really going on when you're traveling from room to room. So putting all the bonus type items in rooms in my opinion would make this a better map.
I've emailed some Clue-playing friends this thread, so they might pop in and give their 2 cents too...just giving a heads up on that so you'll be ready for different ideas on this.

I think it should be just like the game of clue with names of thing, places and people altered a lil bit
