absolutely - which casts doubts on who the doctor needs to protect.

No it doesnt, because once the other cop role claims we lynch one of the two supposed cops. If we lynch the real cop then we know who one of the mafia members is. If we lynch the lying cop (mafia) then that is even better.

My point is it was not as clear as the wicked one is trying to make it. Otherwise the scenario for EVERY game would be the cop claiming it on day 1 - the doc protecting him at night - and a definitive investigation every night. see? not that exciting suddenly is it?

This is such a waste. Their roles state that they are ex husband and wife who hate each other. They both said that. So doesn't it make sense that they would waste time fighting with each other?
