well, spelling comment - i think it's the Carpathian mountains, not the carpathians mountains. Not sure for the Caucasus. Not sure on that, but it's the first thing that stuck out when i looked at the new version.
I think you could do with some more clarity between attack routes over the sea - in particular, The Celtic Kingdoms, Denmark and Byzantine Empire are liable to confuse

The bonus entitlements are as follows. If the crusader owns the hold lands then the lowest ranking continent they own will have double the army entitlement.
I think the Roman Catholic bonus is about right at the moment as the player would need to secure 10 countries and defend 3 entry points. I was thiniing about making Scotland and Ireland separate (to ensure historical accuracy) and then it would be 11 counties, three to defend from entry and i reckon a bonus of 7. Any views?
This would make it
There are 6 continents : showing: army entitlement/ territories to conquer/ countries to defend from entry - Roman Catholics 7/ 11/ 3 - Eastern Othodox 5/ 8/ 7 - Islamic Emirates 3/ 8/ 4 - Pagan Tribes 2/ 4/ 3 - Mongol Golden Horde 3/ 7/ 3 - Mongol Il-Khanate 2/ 5/ 3 - Holy Lands 1 ---- 44 countries in total
from my perspective this would improve playability and ensure historical accuracy
Well, as for bonuses, i would hope to be able to take Roman Catholic every time, only three entryways for a +7 bonus is a dream for my play style (which may be why i'm a cook... hmmm...) and i would never ever go for the eastern orthodox. Getting fewer reinforcements per turn than i have entryways into my territory is my worst CC nightmare. Other than that, i really don't feel qualified to comment on gameplay, but i don't see anything wrong.
I like this map, the set out of the territories, continents etc, but it doesnt look like a CC map, it looks like a normal map with some coloured dots on it. Are you going to add sea routes? maybe Holy roman empire to caliphate of tunis, kingdom of sweden to livonians. As you said in the first post, this was a time of such great change in the region, maybe you could have some text to explain the significance of the time.
I suppose i was trying to make a map that is a little different to the CC maps.
The key to a map like this is to be:
- historically accurate - ensure playability - not to have artificial borders that would not have made much difference in reality - rivers, possibly mountains and long sea routes - not to have any countries bordering another country that is not in play - that annoys the hell out of me as these would have existed in a real battle map.
i must admit it may be better to remove the non crossable mountains. The mongols made short work of the carpathians in their invasions of Hungary at this time in any case.
Any comments on the above
ps - can windows users see the map on the first screen? - i can on my mac but not my windows laptop
I can see the img, though it takes a while to load. The mountains are ok. Your main problem is graphics, this doesn't look like a CC Map. You need to theme your map like it was at the time. Look at the Mongol empire and other maps, they look like theyre topic. Yours looks like a normal map with coloured dots.
Wow, really nice map, this should go to final forge soon. Maybe you should make more terretories per bonuses for bigger and badder bonuses. Might be cooler gameplay.
It would appear that development of this map has stalled. If the mapmaker wants to continue with the map, then one of the Foundry Moderators will be able to help put the thread back into the Foundry system, after an update has been made.
