This may confuse some of you so I shall give an example of what I mean.
Example:
- You take control of green "continent" in round 3(when ever in the round)
- You must hold it for the whole of round 4. That means in round 4 you would not get the bonus troops of holding the green continent.
- That also means if someone breaks your hold once, you don't get the bonus. This could be instead, you must hold it at the beginning and end of the round.
- If you still hold the green continent at the beginning of round 5 before anyone has played, you get bonus troop from it. Even if someone breaks your hold on the green continent latter in round 5.
here's an example of a game where this feature would have helped alot.
Advantage to the game:
This should reduce the effects of turn order on victory in regards to area bonus troop. Especially in freestyle games. I don't see any drawbacks either. No additional game complexity or options to deal with. (unless of course one could choose whether or not to use this, but I think it is good enough for it to not need to be a option)
