Basic Maps???

Hi all-

How can you differentiate between basic maps and non basic maps. I'm trying to create a game for my friends and I to play but we're all new and they can't join a non-basic map game.

Look at

Features-Are there lots of bombardments and other features? That's a clue to more difficult maps
Understandability- Is the legend very complicated? That's a clue to more difficult maps

The maps should be open to all players...I'm guessing you mean they don't want to play the more complicated ones yet.

In that case stick to the ones that look geographical...most of those are basic

If it's easy for you to understand, it's probably easy for your friends. Some maps are confusing because of the graphics or instructions rather than gameplay. You be the judge.

Quite sure that any one that still haven't completed 5 games have a limited selection of maps to choose from.

Right. I guess I was looking for that list. When I choose to start a game, it doesn't tell me the new players won't be able to join. Oh well. Thanks guys for trying!

New Recruits must earn a promotion to join Assassin games, Terminator games, team games, large games (6 or more players) and games on complex maps (they will be hidden from Join A Game and Game Finder listings). These restrictions do not apply to private games.

And these are the maps that are findable for "?'s" (subject to change over time though).
