why should players be allowed to hide their online status?

I dont understand why c.c. allows this, in my opinion its just another tool that helps the farmers take advantage of other players
especially in freestyle games.

So your boss at work doesn't know that you're on CC during work hours. How would he know? Because he's on there too. But, since he's the boss, he's allowed. You, however, are about to get axed, all because A-Team doesn't want you to be able to hide your status. Thanks A-Team! =D>

serbia your logic is flawed, no one uses their real names here, so if you are worried about your boss catching you on c.c. you wouldnt tell him your user name, that and any good tech guy can review your internet activity and know if your wasting the companys time.

Because there are a lot of players who would get inundated with PMs if everyone knew they were online. I hid mine for a couple months in the spring while I was very busy with school so that I could take care of the things I needed to do when I logged on rather than get PMs requesting things.

I happen to like most of my stalkers, so I don't hide mine, but I understand why some wilting little flowers do.

Why should players be allowed to have avatars of ugly canines aggressively humping stuffed animals?

I don't understand why c.c. allows this, in my opinion its just another tool that lets annoying people make these forums less 'family friendly' for everybody else out there and helps drive innocent posters away from the site. Especially in the GD forum.

I hide it because im tired of all the PM's telling me to move in games. Most players think that all games need to be played real time even if it isnt a speed game.

i use it all the time i just got use to it. it helps when you do not want to take your turn cause the player that just played is on winning and you do not want him to get a back to back turn.

Hiding your online status is a default and core feature of the forum software that we use here at Conquer Club. It would be a very large undertaking, not to mention a large time sink to hack the software to disable it. That makes it not an endeavor worth pursuing.
