Conquer the Galaxy

I though a galactic map, incorporating the worlds already represented in CC would be cool.

Again, this is just a diagram to illustrate the idea (so please dont harp on about graphics):

Obviously the bonus values and neutral values are just quick guesses and would need some analysis and revision.

Notes:

A setting is required - perhaps the Federation Control Centre + Death Stations are about ‘about to go operational’

Should undeveloped worlds start neutral?

Mines are killer neutral – Hopefully the notes explain this.

Some more terits need to be named.

Should there be a feature in the centre? Decay on terits close to galactic centre – (energy required for heat protection)?

DJ, it has been laying in my mind for quite a long time a galactic map. I’d like it to have a taste of Star Trek mixed along with Masters Of Orion (strategy game for PC) and with a little bit of Dune. :)

What about having some systems belonging to a Terrestrial Federation and some systems belonging to other Races/Empires – they could work out has Zone bonus...

Other bonus could be achieved by harvesting very important space commodities..... like rich mineral or spice –remember Dune’s ‘Spice Melange’

We should not forget the Space Pirates – Owning a 'Pirate planetary haven' could give you access to assault empire’s spaceports for example....

-one could add a lot of diversity to that story ....

Everyone would want a piece of their favorite sci-fi in a galactic map - I'm sure we can incorporate many of them.

I'm pretty stuck on having planets represented by other CC maps (e.g. Volcanus = Archipelago) - it links them all up for interesting galactic tournaments.

How about gameplay? I used the Federation idea to create an obective and for the build-your own bonus system & I incorporated mines for killer neutrals etc. I think we should have some of these features on a sci-fi map - it goes with the territory.

I like the pirates idea particularly. Maybe there should be decay in the pirate area(s) due to attack from them?

I'm happy to put plenty of ideas together and work on the gameplay if we have a graphical expert out there interested?
