I agree with oaktown. The large map is excessively high. If it was to go through as is, it would be the only map on the entire site I would have to scroll for.

on the borders:
Russia, move it a bit to the right, that it ends in the bay
Hyesan, move a bit to the south, looks like it can attack Hamgyong Buk-Do

Looks great

this map looks excellent.

i realize that korea is tall and therefore necessitates a tall map, but you have to realize that for playability, 700px is going to turn off most gamers. have you played teh Philippines map much? i like it a lot, but much taller than that and i would become frustrated.

this is 70 px taller, is that correct?

anyway, think about it. i know it requires major redesign but more people will want to play it.

I would just like to say I've been following the development of this map for a little while now and I am very pleased with the progress it has made and I'm also very excited to play it. Well done.

Getting around the height seems to be a problem, huh? I know I would never play this map if I had to scroll to get to the attack menu, because it makes playing very tedious and bothersome (not to mention slow which can hurt in freestyle games).

Why not just flip the whole map on its side? Every mapmaker on this site orients their maps to the north (I know its the standard) and then includes a little compass with north pointing upward. I think marv said this before, but there is no point in having a compass if north is always up!! So to get around this problem, you could lay the map on its side, add a compass and orient north in the proper direction. Then your map size would fit well within the suggested specifications.

Yeah, i did think about that, I have the scrolling down problem with a few maps, and it does really suck, not enough to stop me playing it but I realise why it would.

I need to know if people would like it on it's side, there is another option, just squash things up a bit and rearrange things to make it 620px high...

But tbh, i don't think it would look very good and I know it would be very time consuming.

It does make sense, since then the text would be going along the peninsula, but I really need peoples opinion on it, I'll try it both, then make a poll on which is better. should be done by tonight hopefully.

I'd rather see a little squashing going on. :-/

This map is too high.
I prefer the small version, however I always use large.
Maybe use the large you got now to design, and use the small as large when it comes up to quenching and that stuff.

I like this map (although the colors are a bit bright for my tastes) just wanted to point out that Where you have Kwangju is all wrong--It's where Mokpo is (Kwangju is the traditional capital of South Cheolla) You could more accurately call your Mokpo "Kwangju" and you could call your Kwangju "Jeonju", which is the current capital of North Cheolla. It doesn't really bother me either way, but thought you might be interested since you're obviously putting so much effort into the other aspects of the map. Again, I really like it and look forward to playing it soon, keep up the good work! By the way, my girlfriend's hometown is Mokpo, so I've got nothing but love for the place :D

For now I've decided to change this map to Vacation
I'll be continuing with it, when I come back from the holiday I go on in two days, plus when I've finished coursework, I've been pretty busy in general the last few weeks, so I haven't had any time to do work on it.

It won't be abandoned, The next update will probably be in easter, when I'll be posting a new map for WWII: Battle of The Bulge.

Until then, I won't be working on this map anymore.

I'm just going to stand up for my heritage and suggest that 'Sea of Japan' be renamed 'East Sea' as it is called in Korean.

The map looks great otherwise.
