Are auto-typers allowable?

Hehe I have to admit that once, during a casual freestyle game, I had to go for an errand and I used an auto-typer
This auto-typer consisted of a little metal cube on my keyboard keeping the b button pressed down

They aren't allowed in either freestyle or sequential. This site is about playing other people, not computers.

What about people with computers ?



Seriously though, auto-typers are hard to detect in situations like this and I don't think that them being allowed or not will make any difference. If anything, this thread has just raised awareness of auto-tpyers and probably inspired more people into using them.
Oh, and you've got to remember that auto-typers are different to those robots which you programme to take a whole turn for you.

I say kudos to the people who use them. If you care enough to stay up for hours, all night even checking in on the game to make sure you get your deploy, then you deserve to win. Make them legal, as many have said it's pretty much impossible to prove someone is using it, unless they admit to it.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I think the problem is not only that people can deploy automatically, but they are using "bots" which take their entire turn within a split second for them. This is a problem, because then it is indeed no longer two players battling it out; rather it's who is a better computer programmer!
