events with the better teams, beyond who may have jumped to
the NFL. I expect Tennessee to be improved, not great, but they
do have a young running back that may give their offense a much
needed push in the right direction.
They'll be improved but they'd be lucky to pull off anything like an 8-4 record. I predict 6-6

Oklahoma State had their hands full losing to Oregon 42-31.
I wouldn't say choked. A) their best player was not at 100% and B) Ole Miss played a great game and even if Texas Tech had been able to play at their best I think it would have been a tight game that Ole Miss could have still won.

I actually do understand this but with all the hype they're getting it will more than likely take a major hiccup in their season to keep them from a chance to repeat in the national championship. even if they have one loss, if it's a loss to a good team and not in the SEC Championship, they have an edge over any other one loss team this nation can produce and an edge over the undefeated teams from "lesser" conferences.

SEC teams might do the rest. It's hard to imagine any major college team
going undefeated, so the extra fluff on the Gator schedule may come back
to haunt them when it's time to sort out the bowls. There are definitely a
lot of teams capable of reaching the title game and I'm eager to see how it
all plays out.
LIke I said Florida will have the edge. it'll take a major hiccup (like a loss to a subpar team) or losing the SEC Championship to Alabama or whoever they end up playing to prevent them from getting to the national championship.

is the biggest factor. Last year the Buckeyes started a true freshman QB and
hung in there for a long time with the Trojans before letting it all slip away.
I expect this rematch to be much closer and can't wait for the second week
to get here.
QB factor will probably play a huge role I just expect home field advantage to be the deciding factor.

so I expect Alabama to handle them. The exception for the Hokies is special teams
and speed, so if they manage to get rolling and it becomes a high scoring game I think
it will be hard for the Tide to keep up. A low scoring defensive battle will give 'Bama
the edge and the win.
I agre with if only because a high speed game against Utah (plus a slow start from the Tide) proved to be their downfall last year against Utah.

big gameswhen it comes to these kin of teams is always a toss up. No one expected Ole Misss to beat Florida or Texas Tech. NO one expecte OSU to stay in the game against Texas (though that game was sloppy during the first 2 1/2 quarters by both teams), andno one was expecting an Oklahoma team thatset a College Football record for points per game playing a Florida team that was also known to be high scoring to share a combined 38 points in the NC. Those games are always toss ups and you never really know what to expect.
