When to lable a player a deadbeat?

Postby Baron Von PWN on Tue Oct 13, 2009 8:11 pm

I see deadbeat tossed around allot on the forum, but I'm not realy sure when this applies. Is a Deadbeat someone who misses their turns?

A deadbeat is someone who gets kicked out of a game for missing too many turns.

Of course...until that point, they haven't deadbeatened.

What about a guy who has missed 3 non consecutive turns in a game thats only in Round 7?

I almost think hes doing it intentionally so that he can place 9 troops on that 3rd turn and because its a game with on spoils so he doesn't really lose anything for doing it. Is this being strategic or just a douchebag?

It's a douche bag strategy. If people would focus on and attack those who miss turns it would be a lesser used strategy.

As far as tags go for this you can use "poor strategy". Could even call it "rude".

Right, I'd term anyone who gets kicked out of a game an "official deadbeat" --- if they just miss a frequent number of turns, I'd consider them...missed turners? :) I'm not sure what I'd call them.

I agree with jefjef here. Peopl should target these people while they're not playing. Sometimes people miss turns unavoidably but those that repeatedly miss turns as part of a strategy need to be take out
