We had, when i sat in the background and made the odd supercilious post on the shirt-tails of creative posters, a place where individuals found the energy to plot. The energy to try to bring down the establishment. .. hmm you see that sounds ridiculous and destructive, it sounds like a dysfunctional place. .. it was not, it was a special place in which genius bothered to brush shoulders with the banal satisfaction of amused, disdainful intelligence. It was a troublesome place which tested all of us with its vibrant want.

Hate and annoyance are the antithesis of utopia but the paradox is .. they make it wake. Without the opposite of perfection we can not be made to discover perfection.

I am sad that i do not come to these forums to be challenged by deviant genius's who can be bothered to create challenge.

love, jim

Well said indeed jim. The GD forum seems to be but a ghost of the anarchic vibrant place it once was. But hey, look on the bright side, the new sanitised, 'everyone wins and no one's a loser' style ensures a healthy, well balanced atmosphere, while docile, acquiescent and compliant individuals get to articulate their highly interesting and intuitive thoughts which we all find so very fascinating we await the next attention grabbing pearl of wisdom with a breathlessness verging on complete wonderment. I look forward to lacks new program where no one actually loses a game!!

I find it absolutely hilarious that you believe that politeness and civility equates to docile, acquiescent, compliant or not losing. Get some perspective, people.

Whatever gave you that idea????

Your post, obviously.

To be fair, they do say conflict breeds creativity. But there has to be ideas within that conflict.

You don't pick up on subtle internet sarcasms very well do you? Oh never mind, I just remembered that you were the guy that was genuinely threatened for his life when a few forum gnats said they would like to execute you. My question just became amazingly rhetorical so don't feel obligated to respond.

It's well known that sarcasm doesn't translate well in a typed medium. I'm sorry you're ignorant of that.

In the near future, perhaps you'll understand exactly why I felt not only my life but those around me were genuinely threatened. However, I have been advised to allow the court case to run it's course before I'll speak publicly about it. Then again, I won't be surprised at all if your lack of perspective keeps you from understanding it, even then. That you believe threats given over the internet cannot be seen as legitimate and shouldn't be given serious treatment definitely points in that direction.

As well, it wasn't a forum post that made me feel threatened.
