Try your best to take territs and get more reinforcements than your opponent(s). Eventually, take over all of your opponent territories!

Good luck! ;)

Don't play this without fog. Really sucks.

yeah, you need fog... go slowly, take territs at a slow pace keeping numbers up. and get as many of the blue things as possible... and nobody goes for the luggers on this map... you do that and you will be sorted..

basicly you get bonnussess for the amount of blue points you have multiplied by your bases(snorkels)..
each blue point gives one per base, so if you have only one base, you are better off with a turtle or other animal since they also have 1 but are less prtected by neutrals..
if this is no fog, try to build up your troops before attacking, and only attack once you are sure you can hold it.

for team games - stack on 1 person and take out your enemy.

for 1v1 - build up for 1-2 turns and start taking bonuses. Don't try to advance too much - enemy will take over you fast if you clear neutrals for him.

I've been lately playing this with escalating no fog 5 players seq terminator.

It seems to me that the way to victory is to be conservative with your troops. Most who are unfamiliar with the map immediately waste all their troops going for the very scarce bonuses. Play it conservatively, don't worry if you don't get a card every turn even if it's escalating.

Go for the territories with smallest numbers of neutrals, this way you get a card with minimal waste of troops. If you can pick a bonus or two along the way it doesn't hurt, since they help you grow your stacks quicker, but don't go out of your way to gather them.

Eventually you'll have the largest stacks, and then you can start picking out your opponents which have a chain of 1:s leading to their reefs... ;)

The same tactic would probably also work on no spoils & flat games as well, but in those you just have to be even more conservative...

Some posts in this thread certainly detail ways in which you'll find yourself self losing constantly, rather than winning.

get the bonuses and in 1v1, going first can be a huge advantage! if u find urself getting a lot more bonuses than ur opponent,
deploy troops on the fresh water spots and reefs for one turn, always play this map fog, sequential, and no spoils ;)
