Interesting Apologies for Missed Turns

Postby Tupence on Mon Dec 07, 2009 7:22 pm

Some people simply say "sorry for the miss", some don't say anything, and others like to give elaborate explanations as to why they missed a turn. What's the most interesting reason/excuse you've come across?
Important Tournament Notice

The data for ALL of my tournaments has potentially been lost. I am working to recover it but as I am away on business all of this week, there will be some delay. Sincere apologies.

No, he was making a joke about targetman not being able to figure that out; not that Duality himself couldn't get it…

The only time I miss turns is when I fall asleep at the computer.

This has actually happened many times.

It is killer when it is a speed game that you only needed one more turn to finish and win.
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit.

lol. Solution: never play cc in the wee hours of the morning. I never do...

Most of the time my family members need to work on the computer; this is the only one with internet, and by then they've already been waiting for hours 8-[

Or maybe i need to go the the bathroom when I have my weekly serving of bread mould...

One of our ex-conquerors, eye84free, seems to take this a little seriously...

Check the stuff under "occupation" and "interests" and you'll find that he foes everyone that misses a turn without giving a valid reason. So HighlanderAttack, better not play him when you feel sleepy...
