Ok, this is my first movie, that was not guessed after a few minutes.. whats a good frequency to give new images? Maybe one image per day, one hint per day? Got any questions, I could answer? (so vaguely of course, that the answer is totally unhelpful)

But first of all, here is the next screenshot:

"Rule 3: If no one has guessed your movie in 24 hours, we're gonna need a hint or two. Also, if the thread goes dead for three days, it's open for anyone to post a new [movie]."

If it's a movie with less than a couple of thousand votes on IMDb, or one that didn't ever get a world wide release (festival indies that do however have lots of IMDb votes), or pre 1970, or there are no caps with faces of at least recognizable character actors; I usually post 2 a day.

Sorry, I don't understand that.. was that a list of criterias the movie has to fullfill? Or Questions? A couple is very vague too, so this might be a problem. Yes, its pre 1970. I'm not sure about the worldwide release, but it does not have a Certification for all countries on imdb.

Rule 3 says 1 image every 24 hours.

I personally just post more frequently if I think it's difficult to guess.

I guess it's up to you between giving people a chance to see the images and if they're difficult put a few up early.

The horse is not the important part of the scene ;-)

But since its probably really a hard one for most of you, I'll post something like 2 per day..

The Problem is, that maybe too few people are still Participating in this thread.. Its probably very hard to guess, if you haven't seen the movie, but it should be quite easy, if you have. And I'm pretty sure at least some people posting in this thread before have seen it.. Well. You'll get another screenshot in an hour...

Ok, this is harder as I though (or less people still participate), so here is a shot with the main actor...
And another hint, its not an American movie.

Trust me a lot of people participate and read this thread, it is just most of us don't have a freaking clue, especially with older movies - it is not like you can guess Fargo with these sort of films.

I'm with this guy. Lot's of people do participate and I thought an older one may give me more chance.
But you're kidding here right? A tester is fine, but............

Main character / actor - not a Scooby Doo mate....

Is it Dutch?

I do to read this thread almost every day, but when the screenshots are black/white I don't even bother to guess, I don't know many old movies, so I just wait for a new sceenie :P

Well I am one of the guy's that like the old black and white's and the fourth one with the guy at the podium is driving me crazy because I think I saw that scene. But when I do post a old movie(before 1970) my third or fourth clue will usually be the main character and the actor is usually someone recognizable that you can google. After you posted enough on this thread you get a feel of what people watch. I try not to necessarily try to stump to the point that the movie will take a week to be guessed correctly. Usually there will be one person who will recognize John Wayne or Gary Grant when I post or Tripitaka popping in and guess my first screen shot of Monument Valley as "She Wore A Yellow Ribbon".

Yeah, sorry for picking a too hard movie.. I already postet two shots of the main character, and I asumed there would be some german people active in this thread (I checked, some posted), so I though I could use one of the most famous german movies, and someone would guess it.. obviously I was wrong, but that might have been another very helpful hint (more helpful than another screenshot I think), but I'll post one anyway:
