Well ill admit i feel more passionate about the subject late at night when im under the influence lol but im not trying to say that all the newer people are bad i dont mean that at all ive met several players who have just joined the site and are really really good players and love the game what we were talking about is the way this site use to be now im the only one saying i dont liket he way it has come along only because these forums use to have real topics real conversations we would have tourneys and realtimes always going neg feedbacks were not giving out over stupid crap well we were all friends well im not gonna sit here and say we all got along and sat around all day being best friends but to be honest the reason i said a newbie wouldnt understand is cause i dont think u can it was so less drama and so less immmature well some of it anyway

i wasnt trying to point any one out but there are some people who are making this site out to be a myspace thing and i just think its wrong im sure you play some mean risk who knows maybe ur not one of the new people who are making deals in the game with other players trying to get killed but to be honest the game with some of the new people has gotten lame and lost most of its fun and it kinda pisses me off yeah... i remember when i didnt even know how to play and my boyfriend (highborn) president at XI (cause were trying to make this place better) got me started at this game and such great people offered to help me learn like wacicha or eddymush back when it was fun.

Fair enough but often if the aforementioned girls like risk which evidently they do as they are here and then find they are among mostly males of course they are going to enjoy the undoubted attention they will recieve.

Cynthia is 18 and therefore old enough to decide who and what she does. Cahoots i actually dont know how old she is and Meggy is old enough as well. But they are the minority and they are just enjoing the attention their love of risk has bought them. They still all play risk.

And this is the social lounge. All they are doing is being socialable.
As for the old men, i havent witnessed this but im sure it cant be that bad.

We do plenty of talking about Risk, this is a chance to get to meet the people you play risk with, and that's why its in the off topics forum.

Kylie- I know where you are coming from, but these posts annoy me a lot. In your welcome back thread I said it reminded me of a forum I used to frequent for 4 years when old posters would suddenly return after long periods of inactivity.

Well this is reminding me of that site as well. People would always reminisce about the the old days and the old posters and everyone always said it was better in the past. In reality, things will ALWAYS change over time and the only reason you think the past was better is because memories make everything seem quaint and fun and perfect. There are some new posters here but things aren't much different from the way they used to be....its just a LOT bigger.

If your complaint is that people aren't having real conversations and real topics then I suggest you start your own and bring them back. People like to talk about various things and if posting pictures isn't enjoyable for you, then talk about what is! That's the entire point of having forums...people can discuss what they want in many various topics, so find what you like and ignore the rest. I'm not trying to insult you or say that you're wrong, I just mean that complaining about a lack of 'real' conversation doesn't do anything to bring it back. Be proactive and start your own things to talk about what interests you...
