I was over at the girlfriend's house last night...Before anyone gets excited nothing actually happened which kind of bugs me as I thought she was hinting at having sex and it didn't turn out that way, but no big deal.

I don't like movies just for special effects. I just think that a few movies have spectacular special effects.

but unlike me no matter how good the special effects are does not make a good movie call me old fashion but for me i feel that special effects are cool in movies but there are too many movies that use special effects way too much. i may just be too smart for all that flashy stuff. don't get me wrong with good actors, a good plot i would love to see special affects but lately it seems like they only care about either a good plot and acting abilities or they go for the special effects shitty acting and worse plot. that's why i did not watch nor will i ever watch AVATAR . that is my position.

No amount of acting nore special effects can save a bad movie. Avatar didn't have the best acting but it had a good plot and the special effects made it better.

I don't think I've see anything on the Oscars list. But I have seen a tremendous amount of golden oldie films that were on the Oscar list at one time. **Eats a banana**

So many people focus on one point of the plot they don't realize some of the execution that went into parts of it.
