hence blitz (sorry but this is true) i recived a forum ban for reponding (agreed a bit to strong so deserved it)to a bait/flame whatever you wanna call it.

the flame or bait was editing a quote to make my original post sound like i was slagging of mods again .

Okay. You both said your piece and this thread is done with. Pm's coming your way.

justr found this one about baiting in comunity guidlines

* Just because you didn't directly attack another user does not make your post a meaningful contribution. If your post's intent was to provoke another user into an emotional response, to get under their skin or to otherwise piss them off, you're baiting them. Hopefully the user doesn't take the bait, but you'll probably get a warning from a mod.

eddie you were forum banned for the reasons outline in the notice you received...
causing an issue about is only going to get you into further trouble.
the thread in question blitz did nothing wrong.... he didnt bait you at all....he simply pointed out that you could choose more than 1....there is nothing wrong with that in the slightest bit.
Take your forum ban on the chin learn from it and dont fall into the trap that gets most trolls perma banned from this website. Continue to post about this issue is not going to get anything accomplished except to get further bans yourself

You would seem to be baiting the mods with this thread. Why didn't you contact Andy privately, since he'd be above the mods? It seems to me that you badly want to be banned again.

I would post this whether I had a coloured name or not. Blitz's post was emphatically not a bait, he was merely correcting you. If that was considered a bait then over 50% of the posts in the forums could be given the same scrutiny. You on the other hand flamed him in response completely unprovoked and therefore the ban was justified. I can't understand what your complaint is here.

ok what ever right put this easy way i stated

i cant mention one i respect them all for agreeing to give up there spare time to help (i might argue some cases)it is wrong to highlight some of them and this should be closed

changed by blitz to

i cant mention one

(this could be interped i do not respect any of them)

i seen this offensive to change what i said when you quote a player you have the full sentence so to shorten it to somthing that could be taken the wrong way is a bait enough said obviously this is ok to do and mods agree with this

sigh ccome on eddie you are grasping. drop the issue. You were banned by prolly the most respected mod here. You have been told how to appeal it. So do it the correct way. This is not the place. This will only lead to further vacations

I didn't interpret it that way. I took it as yet another example of Blitz not fully reading or comprehending something that is posted. Happens quite a lot.

Shortening the quote to change its meaning was a bait; a mild one, but it was a bait. The dude probably should have laughed about it as that was likely the emotional response Blitz intended, but he was offended by someone misquoting him and implying a change to his meaning.

So he cursed at Blitz. What Blitz did, didn't deserve the cursing... But when did CC start objecting to people cursing?

And, why should him questioning it (withOUT the cursing this time) cause him to be warned? His objection is polite enough to pass any written forum standard, the only part someone could even object to is that he's "ohmy" questioning mod tactics despite having already said he pretty much respects all mods.

First off Eddie, as I explained to you and yours through pm's, if you are unsatisfied with my decision concerning your ban, then you need to open up an eticket. Second I am in NO way favouring ANYONE (yourself or blitz)
I am simply doing my job as a volunteer moderator. Perhaps the way blitz quoted or didnt fully quote your post may not have been properly done, that does not however constitute him receiving a warning for baiting, and your post in question was edited by myself after being logged so that the original is logged on file, to remove the flame out just as i stated in the post that i have edited. Those of you that may or may not agree that there were flames in that post must not have seen the original post before my editing. Please go through the proper channels and open an eticket on this matter if you still feel that blitz was in fact baiting you and have cheating and abuse admin/mods look into this further.

No, but I feel sometimes the keen edge of quiet argument works better than the sometimes blunt effect of punishment through law.

Well I must say I once received a vacation by simply posting a wall message, word for word, exactly as I received it. It was a threat of violence against me. I found it funny so I shared it. Anyone who looked at my wall coulda seen it.

My punishment was for baiting. :?

So yeah. There is a depends who you are moderation that takes place.

But anyway. You all have a nice Memorial day!

That actually depends. In CC, I would likely report him. In real life... well, it's more complicated. No one's life will be ruined if they get busted on CC. People's lives will get ruined if they go to jail for years. Or get executed, like in some barbaric countries. So in real life I would have to weigh the pros and cons, if it would be more harmful (to him and to other people) to let him continue than it would be to have him put in jail, then I would... so I guess it depends on what kind of law would he be breaking. Laws aren't always just, in real life. Especially if you live in totalitarian countries...

Hahahaha, like the USA you mean? They have the death penalty in case you didn't know....

I agree though, getting executed would definitely ruin my life.
