nuclear spoils duplication

Presume this questions had been asked before, but can' t find the thread... sorry about that

Can someone else have the same nuclear spoil card as me? If, for example, in a classic map game I had the card for Eastern Australia, is it possible that someone has the same card?

Technically, yes. There are only 17 Terts on Doodle earth. So if you had 4 players, each with 5 cards...

I was just using using the classic map (not doodle earth) as an example. But, you raise a good point and obviously on maps with less areas than all possible combinations of spoils, there would have to be duplication of spoils cards...

correct, there are as many sets of cards (multiple) as the max amount of people times 5 cards. Basicly any map with less then40 countries and playing by 8 persons will use multiple decks of cards. Otherwise not.

But I guess duplicate cards are only handed out when all territory cards are already in 1 of the players hands, so as long as their are still unique cards available, these will will handed out first.

once 2 decks can be used, you will recieve duplicates. Otherwise it would be nearly impossible to hold 3 cards with the same name, and that has happened already.
