Could you try and find two more? Or you could always lose some too, as some of those are really small. I don't understand why you only have 5 continents... I think you should aim for at least 6 if you can. Gameplay isn't my specialty though so I'll let others comment on that. I think the map needs a lot of work graphically, but the idea is far more appealing than the last two versions.

The text is impossible to read. There's a reason you don't see script fonts on the maps that make it through the foundry.

One thing to consider...lets say there is a theme. Lets pretend there are 5 competing pirates...and they each have a piece of the threasure map, but they need all other pieces to get the treasure. Continents could be things like 'Red Beard's Claim' and 'Scurvy Jack's Claim'. You could even paraody old real life pirates from history. With all pirates trying to take over each other's pieces of the map...I see more point in trying to conquer the 'map'.
That idea...makes this map sound more interesting to me

the font has got to go.
it seems to me that the island continent will be very difficult to hold. 6 borders, 10 territories. better have a huge bonus.
treasure is a must. red x marks the spot. oooo, maybe some blood coloured ink as an accent-- that would go with the pirate theme. and this map needs some colour- without destroying the parchment look.
looks like a good start.
