I assume lub would put his own clan above nemesis, considering a certain past event 8-[

But I presume after their humiliation by kort, that dropping another spot beneath a worthy clan such as ourselves won't be too much of a stretch ;)

I'm intrigued to see a clan being broken up and still have both itself and it's breakaway in the top 4. I'm intrigued to see what will happen when thota breaks up? :-s

Chariot of Fire wrote:ah yes, thanks. I meant to write 'first' not second. I was just trying to make the point that TSM's participation (or not) in the C.Cup had little bearing on the voters' perception of them as a leading clan - they are still right up there in everyone's book, including my own - and that it was TOFU's results in the past six to eight months that has brought the two closer together rather than TSM's abstention from one tourney.

I think Bruce's point was simply that the reason why they are tied for second in the CC-list was to avoid the confusion that would be had by having someone (and only them) listed 2nd when they weren't even in it, which would make the 3rd on the list the actual 2nd seeds, 4th actually 3rd, etc.

Then again, you might have realized that yourself, and was just making a different point, in which case this post is pointless.

I'm not sure who is better right now between us and IA. We have very similar records. They did better in the Clan League, but we have many more challenges under our belts. Nemesis is solidly #8 (unless Legion wants to fight them for it). Again, these are just my opinions.

KORT played a damn near perfect set. No doubt they belong up there. I wouldn't say we were humiliated in those games. They were close. We made many more mistakes that we usually do for a variety of reasons, and KORT capitalized. Now, 41-23, that might be humiliating. http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=442&t=96650. Even so, that challenge was closer than the score indicated, and Nemesis has certainly bounced back to show just how tough they are.

Dude did you really have to link it? I agree with pretty much all you said though. KORT are tough as feck, as they showed in the CLA and every challenge barring their first. I think the CC semi-finals are perfectly set, the two best up-and-coming clans in one and the two best long established clans in the other.

IA would be in my top 5 for sure.

IF I was placing a top 5 right on what has taken place up until now...

THOTA
LoW
TSM
IA
KORT

I left out TOFU who would be 6th only for the fact they have yet to hit a "big boy" they will do so with KORT. This is a test of sorts for both clans. Nemesis BPB, and Empire are right behind TOFU. All of them are too close to call in any order.

The fact that they disbanded doesn't mean they will be taken off any lists. That list reflects the current roster of clans as of the time that we asked for votes. When a new vote comes out and we ask for more votes, then they will be taken off as well as the others that no longer exist. We will also, at that time, add any new groups that have started.

makes sense.

Does anyone know exactly how many current clans are active and competitive?

I was wondering this the other day, Blitz. I counted 39 active and competitive clans. Give or take 1 or 2 either way. My eyes got tired reading the usergroup small type.

Heya Cheme, do you think you could help me find the other 4/5 I'm missing? I'll probably need to message them as well, so I guess I'll have to look through Chucks power rankings for the others

I have 37 now with kort, and this other clan of jp's added to the original list of 35. I can't find KfC or Gorgonzola pirates (?) in usergroups, and after checking chucks power rankings, o&h, dd and IB no longer exist either so I think I have a relatively close estimation of everybody
