Still need to drop either the English or the Gaelic names on the mini map, but otherwise, it looks good.

Waa??? but, the idea is to show both. I want to use the English names Primarily for familiarity and simplicity but also show the the Gaelic names for Cultural and historical relevance. That's the best way I thought to do it.

Idk, it's just a little messy and more confusing than it needs to be, if you ask me.

well, I'll see if I can give everything a little more space.

BTW, is a color blind test necessary seeming as no bonus physically touches another?

Red is definitely the best color. Blue isn't bad either...

The red dragon does create a definite offset to the rest of the map that is green.... I do admit it is kinda growing on me, touch it up and see where we're at.

Go with Gaelic in bold and maybe fade the English into the background a bit. And on the XML you could do parenthesis: Eire(Ireland) Either that... or just pick one, it is a little confusing to have 2 names on the minimap itself.

I actually faded the Gaelic names since they are secondary. I like the idea of including them in the XML too. That would be a nice touch.

This map is beautiful. I love what you did with the colors TBK. What I don't like is the border for the mini map, it looks to simple on the corners. The rest is awesome.

I kinda agree about the frame corners... you should try to make them more continuous with the rest of the frame.

Well, how should I explain it.... the upper corners are different from the lower corners. Try making it so that it goes in a circle, you know... try to achieve rotational symmetry.

It is now as proposed. Also I made it so that the Gaelic names only appear on the Large map.

I like the design on the min map. Although the frame on the mini map looks like it is bent to the left. On the left side it starts straight at the top and then about the middle it starts to bend inward. Idk if it's just an optical illusion but it looks off to me.

Maybe it still creates an optical illusion but he was right, I pulled a guide line to it.

I still see it a tiny bit but it is better. Conclusion: It is/was an optical illusion but had some basis in fact, therefore it is a myth lol ;)

Lol I'm starting to think you planned this "accidental" optical illusion. Adds something more to the map

Years from now, this will come up as a trivia question in some sort of site-organized contest... some lucky bastard will win premium by digging through this map thread for clues.

IMO, the label(s) for Isle of man look a bit odd when they're divided on each side of the island.

You have enough room on the right side (where "man" currently is) to just put the whole "Isle of man" there.

Also, in the legend where you have the bonus area names - the fancy first letters don't look that good in the small version. You should do something to them to make them more legible.

Does this help?

(I'm not sold on the Isle of man thing though I think it looks better split)
