Oh well I tried. Everything I say is being taken the wrong way. I don't think i really need to try to come up with some elaborate defense. I am townie. That's my defense. Period.

Go ahead and lynch. It will get this looong game finally going. And hopefully it will help the rest of the townies identify the true mafia. Just think about those who were very quick to jump on it.

Don't really understand why its bad to not "claim a role," unless the only consequence is getting lynched.

Whether its a big mistake or not- I still choose not to. Hope it won't hurt the town too much.

Well if you're really town, which I still doubt, you hurt the town considerably by refusing to defend yourself then to claim, thus wasting the day that could have been employed hunting down scum (yeah right day 1, who am I kidding), and probably making a town loss ineluctable. So there you have it. :lol:

Violet, being lynched as a towny without claiming or a defence is the worst thing you can do to the game.
Now, everyone that plays the mobmafiabetrayer game should shut up about that day 1, but that's just because Victor's lynching mechanic was hideous.

I'm glad someone hammered though.

Thanks pmc! Don't worry, you guys didn't scare me away too badly yet. Though you sure tried. I've signed up for three more, once which just started. Hopefully I'll fare better in that one.

First time playing mafia online, but whenever i've played it in real life- it is not a good idea to say your roles. I will maybe explain my actions better after I'm lynched. Maybe.

I want to respond to more than one person in this post, but i'm not really sure how to use the quote thing.

lalaland- Well I've tried to say several times that I am a townie, and yess it will make the town loss ineluctable. Even if I do "claim" a role, how can anyone know whether it is true or not. I think in this situation I'm really darned if i do, darned if I don't. And hopefully it will still be able to help the town. We'll see.

Woah, "ineluctable" is actually a word. I was going to make a LOL post about you possibly combining three different words there, but apparently some English bastard beat you to it (and never told me about it. Seriously, I'm working this one back into the lexicon).

Violet, while I get that your play might make sense in RL Mafia (and this is why I held off on voting you), in the interwebz it's kinda different. If you can provide any shred of proof that you shouldn't be lynched when you're in serious danger of being lynched, you should put it out there.

I'd say you better explain before the scene, unless you wanna wait til the end of the game... most of the time the dead can't talk after the scene before endgame.

Hmmm, that would be kinda disappointing. No last remarks until the end game. I thought i would be able to say something right after I was lynched, as long as its not really giving away any game details. I would explain my actions, then say good luck town. Something like that.

I will check with safari before I post anything after I'm lynched.
