Well done, Myth. It's nice to see you guys get some recognition.

I had to crack out the whip last few games

Glad to join the playoff party!

Playoff bracket on the first post, IA will win their division by at least 1 game.

Thanks.

I think I speak for most everyone when I say I'm glad that TSM came in second, not first in Division D. Good luck to all playoff teams, it's going to be an interesting battle!

I think I'll be watching the bottom half of the bracket most closely.

What are the Vegas odds that 2 division teams make the finals? Eg. A1 and A2?

Ditto. I know it has been said, but the consistent updates were great. This year was a great battle in a couple divisions. Certainly a lot of fun.

that would be crazy. would make for a interesting champ game, specially if it is low vs tofu (first meeting other than whatever we played in here for that week since the split)

Week 9 TOFU vs LOW has come to a conclusion (although Hive is currently active it will be a LOW victory). Well done to reptile and his gang. Final score TOFU 10 LOW 8. TOFU 67-23 overall.

TOFU & TSM have agreed to exchange 1/4 final games on the 29th Jan.

Unfortunate that we had to play them in the first round, but hey, f*ck it, this is what we play for right : ) Should be a good match, looks very close thus far.

3-6 in favour of TSM, looking like 7-8 with games that can be forecast, and four games are too balanced to say either way.

Agreed, this is what we counted so far too. I think the 4 that are close are fuedal, poison, iraq and first nations. It's going to be extremely close.

Then we differ in one respect in that I have us ahead in Iraq but 50/50 for NYC (at least that was the case 36 hours ago. I have yet to go and look how's progress)

If the Hive game becomes deciding in the battle between AOC and Empire, there will be a huge delay...

Hive should be banned. Not only does it freeze my monitor it is also such a long, slow death once you know you going to lose (in a no-carder). Like being nibbled to death by a hungry bunny.

I'm interested in seeing if the mvp's come out after the group stages have finished (now) or after the champion is crowned?

Hive is the most challenging map that site can offer. it would be mess to ban map where skill is so much more important than luck. the fact that TSM, EMPIRE, TOFU, KORT, LOW used hive like home maps in recent challenges proves that I am not the only who thinks like that.

I think your sarcasm needs more work, and you definitely need a new computer. (Don't you usually take someone elses comp when wanting to watch hive? Just repossess it permanently ;))

Anyway, this probably isn't the place to discuss it, but has anybody seen Jp's new results thread? I can't believe we actually have a better record than LoW :o

I know banning Hive was said in jest, but we may need to find a solution to the fact it can hold up the next round. I guess there will come a point where one team are able to publicly concede the game (even if does still have another 2-3 weeks to run).

While it was a joke, games on Hive and Das Shloss have been holding up challenge medals and the league. This is an emerging issue for me, but is minor. Playing these in the first round of a war is preferred, and for Season 4, they likely need a solution whether that be a ban or only on esc etc.

As for the All-Stars, I'm going to start the analysis. I spent most of my time recently on automating the clan results and have most of a leap ladder template/system built.

Just going to get the ball rolling on the Hive/Das Schloss issue. Maybe some no spoils/flat rate rule such as "if one clan gets 20% or more armies per round than the other clan for 5 consecutive rounds, the former wins".

If I was going to find a reason to ban maps, I would ban those that gave 12 territories per player (obviously, this format would ban maps for only one specific kind of game - a 12-territory each doubles map would be banned, but that same map would be ok for triples and quads).

That rule would make TOFU win over TSM in FNNA game as they were getting +3 for 5 rounds there and still lost it.
