Kwanton surrendered to town with no fight, they surrounded him since they realized what a dangerous foe he was, they lead him into a corner so he couldn't escape justice, all was going their way....until.
Kwanton started to laugh, "You have fallen into my final trap" he tossed every gift he had at them as he covered his mouth with a cheesecloth, in the unventilated corner everyone began losing consciousness. The group woke up hours later in a literal pool of vomit, no sign of the confessed mafia.
All nights they searched, until finally they found him, Dead with crumbs of his own gift around his mouth.

That night little pikachu Fircoal was walking with a small pouch of gifts. "Hand them over fircoal" demanded the mysterious figure.
"I am not Fircoal" he responded, shuffling through his gifts, I am "Commander9, aage, TA1LGUNN3R, safariguy5, naxus, Haggis_McMutton, Skoffin and spiesr" he revealed himself covered in name tags. the killer was taken aback "N-nnn-oo... what's going on, how could you be me? Shape-shifting monster!"
"I am anyone and everyone I want to be! It is the next stage of evolution!" yelled the paper covered one.
The killer shakily pulled out a gun "I won't let you do this whoever you are!"
"Are you really going to shoot yourself?!?" taunted fircoal.
"I don't know who I am! I have nothing left to live for!" he cried as he pushed fircoal down a not very steep hill to his paper-cut death.
The killer collected his own name-tag and ran home crying over the past confusing nights.

Ok, so I got the magnifying glass and I tracked naxus. He didn't visit anyone. Also, I got the paper cups and am masoned with skoffin now. Who have been the mason pairings up to this point? Haven't they all been with skoffin? This makes me suspicious because naxus claimed paper cups, and I think that the paper cups is a gift where the giver is masoned with the receiver. Which would logically make skoffin the giver and naxus lying about his gift. Of course, I don't remember the pairings, so it might be a moot point, and I'll wait to see if we got any investigations to start voting.

Saf, naxus is the paper cup giver. It sounds like you actually didn't get the cups, you just got one of them from whoever they were gifted to (Skoffin). Naxus gives the cups to whomever, that person then decides who to mason with. Skoffin chose you. I got them N1, and chose to mason with aage. I think everyone has just picked skoffin for whatever reason. We already proved that naxus is the mason gift giver when I think aage asked who he gave the cups too, so that we could test this. He answered correctly. I'm too lazy to look for this, however.

This also means that naxus probably isn't mafia, or at least not the mafia member who sent in the kill on chu.

I got no gifts yesterday.

Based on the apparent confusion when you originally made the paper cup claim on Day 3 I think. That always struck me as potentially odd.

Well, last night I received the box of caramels, so I am voteless today, what fun.

My understanding of the actions associated with the paper cups is as follows. Night 1 Skoffin received them and masoned with Haggis, Night 2 TAILGINN3R received them and masoned with aage, Night 3 Skoffin received them and tried to mason with pancakemix but was busdriven to aage instead, and now Night 4 Skoffin appears to have received them and masoned with safariguy. Please correct me if any of this is wrong.
But now what do we do? Naxus had seemed scummy, but unless the busdriver was used on him last night then he is not the person who killed last night. Hopefully someone got some investigative power and came up with something usefull and Fircoal didn't have them all last night...

I consider safari and aage clear, naxus is also likely town. I know I am town, and every other townie can personally discount themselves from the list of suspects. Leaving each of us four other people to consider. Finding scumtells can be difficult, but finding towntells can be just as useful and sometimes easier I find. I'll be doing a re-read when I can and offer what I can dig up then.

I'm pretty sure that there would be probably 4 mafia members. The fact that spiesr got the caramels makes him more town in my mind because I'm pretty sure that the caramels is a mafia gift. However, this could be a WIFOM reasoning, so spiesr isn't completely cleared.

I'd like to take a good look at Haggis and Tails. I think both of them have been claiming no gifts at least twice, which makes me wonder about fake giftclaiming. Of course we could just sort of follow the cop given investigative powers still alive, but I think both of them have done just enough to keep themselves from submarining, but not enough for us to conclusively catch them in a lie.

Well I've tried to find some scumtells, but it seems most of the scum are dead. I looked at Haggis like Saf suggested, didn't come across as scummy. Maybe BWing on naxus, but that's about it. I also think Commie is town since he seemed to not be associated with kwan in any way.

So it looks like that gift could be owned by aage, haggis, or skoffin. That being said, I am not 100% certain about your theory that whomever has it is definitely scum becuase a townie would not send that gift out once they realized what it is. The way I see it, a townie could choose to send it out to people they think are scum.

Well, maybe. but in general I wouldn't think that's a good idea because even if they are scum you are basically diminishing the town's capability to scum hunt, as that guy will almost have a pass to not participate too much.

But why would they send me the gift on Night 2 after I outed Mr. Squirrel on Day 2? That seems to me that they were scum trying to avenge their comrade that I found.

Well, if that gift is owned by a townie they wouldn't have known what it was when they sent it to you since no one claimed it on Night 1. Anyhow, that gift could very well be mafia, we just can't know for certain just yet I think...

Aage hasn't logged in since the start of the day. This presents a problem as he is probably going to be important to what we do today. A lot of the gifts haven't been claimed for last night yet. Including important ones like the bus-driver, both cops, jail-keeper, and the watcher. What happened to them? Does aage have them? Did FIrcoal die holding them? Did they get sent to scum who aren't claiming them? Has someone not bothered to mention what they did with them yet? These actions could make a big difference on where we go from here.
Commander hasn't posted in this game yet today. Did he forget and now needs a prod?

So if nobody is lying then that would imply that the caramels are aage's gift. So I guess we need him to then confirm or deny that he has the gift. But then what do we do? Do you think that we should lynch him for having that gift?

I strongly believe that the gift is mafia related. However, it could be that I wrong as the gifts don't always flip the way we expect them to. However, I have a hard time believing that the bandages and the library card are not town. Out of the other gifts most likely to be scum for me would be the Ouija Board (misinformation) or maybe the magnifying glass or glowstick (could be very powerful if the mafia person tracks or watches the right person). Finally, the cake (governor role) could be mafia, although it would be absurdly broken by this stage as mafia would basically never be lynched.

Here's something that also bothers me. As I've said before, there's an informal voting process of gift giving. I think most people give their gifts to the person that seems townish to them. For example, Mr. Squirrel seemed very towny to everyone on Day 1, and he received a bunch of gifts on Night 1. It could be very likely that aage would do the same thing and then mislead us on the results of the gifts or the contents.

I'm leaning towards the theory that the gifts are not related to alignment. On what hand if they were, by the point we got near the end everyone would work out who gives what leaving mafia at a loss in what they could do about it. On the other the results so far don't look like they really match up anyway. Town has a confirmed vote stealer, kill, roleblock and busdrive. All roles that you need really good townies to have, but even then they may make mistakes that cost town dearly. Scum had jailkeep and commuter. Jailkeep can go either way really. Also my brain may be fried as I don't actually recall what commuter does.
The caramels can also go either way. While scum removing power from town could be the case, I also think it could be used as town removing power from potential scum.
I think our mod may have thrown things around a bit to bluff us.

I think we need to see more results from the night and would recommend people come forward with them.
