or is it just my screen... I see a bunch of random words in light blue with a double underline. At first, I thought I had typed some code without realizing it. But, there is nothing ontoward and its different words.

pimpdave wrote:It means you have a virus. Go into your Program Files, then into the Windows System Files, and delete anything with a .dll extension. That will fix the problem of your computer running with a virus forever.

I suggest you get/update/run your antivirus program, let it go through, get CCleaner (http://www.piriform.net), run it as necessary, and it might go away.

thanks. Pimpdave's solution fixed it, but I will try what you suggest. I can see I need to update my antivirus protection!

I don't think you did what PD intended you to do, deleting all of your .dll files would destroy your OS and possibly your hard drive as well. There is a reason he should be on everyone's ignore list the shit he spouts is uniquely malevolent.

Has your computer always had the lines? What browser do you use? does it occur when you use different browsers?

Just restored it all.
I use Internet Explorer..and hear I need to go Foxfire every time I talk to my tech geek brothers. But it looks like I have a virus.

I have had a bunch of computer issues, switched computers, etc.. and it looks like my security software was invalidated somewhere in the mix.

Yeah, run your virus scanner.
Damn.

Go install the free AVG antivirus software, and either Ad Aware or Spybot S&D, and run full system scans, it should solve your problem.
lol thanks.Metsfanmax wrote:BTW: It's Firefox

Yeah, go with Chrome. If you don't mind google keeping records on each and every web site you visit.

Calling someone "piece of trash" is flaming. How about we ban you instead?
It's amazing how you guys want to ban someone just because you disagree with his opinions. I guess it requires a certain kind of mindset.
