Why is TOLERANCE in quotations? I noticed that you often don't respond to facts, but choose to attack the definition.

Reminds me when of the joke of Bill Clinton. It depends on what your definition of "is" is"

Well but by that statement you are saying that they believe the earth is 6,560 years old, which would still be past 6,000 years but are you referencing Archbishop of Armagh?

left-wing liberal???

not everyone not being a fundementalist dark blue republican is left-wing you know... but then again... cannot expect more insight from persons wearing blindfolds and being proud of it.

Liberal does not equal left-wing. Not in Europe anyway - maybe we have more facets in politics than in the US?

"Liberalism is an ideology, philosophical view, and political tradition which holds that liberty is the primary political value. Broadly speaking, liberalism seeks a society characterized by freedom of thought for individuals, limitations on power, especially of government and religion..."

Have no problems with capitalism and liberalism, so left-wing doesn't describe me at all. I'm not a believer in socialism - to much "The State and Government will take care of everything - even how you think". Come to think of it - that fits you rather well. Sure you are not an elitist socialist? :-)
Nice try though.

as for the sulking quote "...its a veiled insult" unquote. Put a sock in it jay... you insult people all the time with your arrogance. Not only that - you step on them as well if they are slightly different from you and your "truth".

Remember your words from another thread?

"Why cannot we all just get along?"

Look in the mirror - the answer to your question is very close to home.

Much love from me too - believe it or not.

I know what liberalism is. And its not healthy for any nation. It's in essence the concept of doing whatever you want, all the while infringing on others rights. A society with no limits shall not stand long. I am for minimal govornment control. Here in the US, republicans are "red", democrats "blue". I am a fiscal concervative, but social moderate. I am pro-life from fetus to grave. (I am against capital punishment when most republicans are for it) But I do not equate the life of "the spotted owl" on the same level as a human being. (as do many liberals in the US)

Please be specific with where I insulted anyone. Nothing written was meant as an insult. I am taking what I strongly believe and passing that info along. No one says you have to agree with me. But its put out there if for no other reason but to give people something to think about.

Oh, one more thing...I spent a lot of time in Europe as a kid (lived in germany) any chance you could sent me some german kindereggs? )

This is not liberalism - what you describe is anarchy. Of course we must have Government - their power should just be more limited AND controlled. There must be law and order as well - again only fanatics would disagree with me here (this time liberal ones - don't care much for them either).

I'm not french, but I love France (we just are opposites aren't we?) lol

If you really want excellent chocolate you have to go to Austria...mmmm... now there something worth believing and fighting for :-). I could kill for a day at Café Tomaselli in Salzburg (not really kill since that goes against my belifs - much just a little kick on the leg then :D ). Only trouble is that a whole day at that café wouldn't go well with my figure I think... I would not be able to walk out - I would roll out.

If you ignore the man's goofy expression and his teeth, he's actually kind of attractive.

im bored so i gotta ask this, and as Jay is my most favorite christian person to bother right now ^.^ ok gods word is infalible (or however you spell that word to mean that It cannot be wrong, meaning cannot lie) but didint God (using capital G, cuz im gonna respect peoples beliefs and all dat jazz) become human, just with the essence of God inside the human form, and we call this human Jesus, and we get the bible from Jesus's disciples... so even though it is God's word, it is coming from a Human form... there fore coming from a human, making it so it can be indeed falible?

(been tryin to catch up, but goddamit way to many posts that i have missed but other thing to speak bout)

i read the whole thing where Jay and others talked bout speech and if it evolved or not....

Speech, basic form is a grunt, it is... high up grunts and sounds but still it is the grunts and such....

anyways speech is evolving, i mean Europe and American english are very different, in forms of slang and such, it is the slang that we adopt and slowly replace other words that allow the evolution of speech, along with the different um hm what is the word... accents, and then words get mixed together with the different languages and other words in the languages are favored instead of others and are replaced... its a constant figuring of different words that are favored instead of others to make things easier or harder, get more specific or more broader in meaning (most likely the reason why English tends to be the hardest to learn of all languages, i mean we have so many words that mean so many things, and it all depends in what way they are used in a sentence)

but uhh ya ill check back in a bit for a answer on the first part...
I am slowly going insane, thanks to Jay, Brandon (the douch tool) and sammy gags for his pic of bubba....

Why does everyone confuse the new and old testament, the only part Jesus played in the old testament was a few prophecies, (most prominently in Isaiah, but also in Psalms and Zechariah) but Jesus was the messiah on earth, also infallible. You are saying that it is human for a man to make an error, but does that mean that men always make mistakes, we are prone to it but it does not mean we will always do it. I would make the argument that if my hand and my heart was being led by God to write the bible, then I'm sure it would be mistake free.

Either way it is a moot point, I personally have never really read into much of the young earth theory and I dont think it holds too much water, but it's not my place to debate it since I have never really researched it. I have always been more prone to believe that the "day's" that God was using in Genesis were not necessarily a 24 hour period because of the "and there was evening, and there was morning" quotes, meaning that depending where you stood on the earth dawn and dusk happen at various times, just look at Psalms 90:5-6, it is not saying that in one day the crops grew up in the morning and died at night, but rather it is saying a growing season. judging by that then the "day's" in Genesis could mean any number of day's or years but I am more inclined to believe they were just a period of time that the Lord said was His day's of creation.

Genesis is a cool story that explained the origins of the universe to people beofre they knew any better. Every single culture has a creation myth. If god wrote it, why did he only reveal it to the Israelites, one ethnic group among hundreds in the middle east? Why not to the Australian aborigines, who had been around for 40,000 years longer? Or the Polynesians? They all have creation myths too. In fact why didn't he reveal it to everyone living on the planet at the time? What did the israelites have that the rest didn't?

The only answer I can come up with for that is in Deuteronomy 7:7-9, which partially explains why he chose israelites as his chosen people, I think because he knew he would send Jesus to earth that Jesus would need to be from some nation so he brought him to earth in israel, and israel was meant to be a country of priests, missionaries and so forth to tell the peoples of the world. Of course every culture has a creation story we as human beings have some sort of need to know where we came from and throughout history we have tried to explain it ... whether it be from a supernatural god or gods or from science and evolution, we as humans have that need to know, but the truth is that none of us really know, none of us were there when it all began so no matter what you believe you have to do just what I and everyone else does ... read as much as you can, look at the world around you and see what makes the most amount of sense for you. I am not posting trying to tell anyone that I am right and that anyone else is wrong, I am just writing what I believe.
