Al-Qaeda gets an immortalized war hero.
Al-Qaeda's operations and fund-raising aren't really affected with the loss of a senile old man.
And what was the cost?
A war in Afghanistan, terrible publicity, hundreds of thousands civilians dead, governments replaced by just as shitty governments, and hundreds of billions spent in an endeavor that isn't really demanded by the American citizens (who wants more F-35s or cooler, cheaper smartphones, funny T-shirts, etc?).
This whole debacle is backwards whether the US killed OBL or didn't kill him.
Good points.
The Obama/Bush gang will use this as justification to expand their global wars of aggression beyond just Afghanistan, Pakistan and Libya, but to new fronts including Syria, Cuba, Palestine, Iran and DPRK.
Tonight is the start of War Without End.
