BGtheBrain wrote:So Strikes reasoning for voting me is that (1) I was not contributing and (2) he didnt like my reasoning for the Betiko vote.
(1) I did not participate in the joke vote. i dont see a problem with that. As for the Stoke city rambling nonsense. In the main forum games, I dont like to post "filler" just for the appearance of contributing. I have a hard enough time following a game without trying to figure out who likes what soccer team. If others want to talk about that, its fine, but I wont add to that discussion. Basically there is nothing to talk about that would involve a serious contribution. I will not post just for the sake of posting.
BGtheBrain wrote:(2) I clearly stated my reasoning whether you agree with it or not, is up to you.
Since most of you understand the game, you all know how Day 1 works. Someone is going to be pressured, someone is going to claim, someone will probably get lynched. To deny this, is ridiculous.
How do we get to that point? Well, of course you pressure someone. In this case on day 1 for someone to be acting "weird" is in fact enough for me to vote for someone. I would much rather take my chances on the person behaving "weird" than I would picking the another player who is acting not "weird"
Im sure this will be twisted to appear "BG is eager to lynch anyone" and that is not what I am saying. Im saying that we all know someone will be lynched today and I would rather pressure and/or lynch the person with "weird" behavior than I would people acting normal.
BGtheBrain wrote:Strike clearly has a problem and well thought out argument with me here, but he totally avoided any comments on Trini, except for one sentence. Trini's vote was very similar to mine. I dont think there is anything wrong with Trini's vote, I think the intentions were the same as mine.
BGthebrain wrote:Strike allowed about 36 hours after his initial post against me to reiterate his point that he feels I need attention. Why the hurry?
I didnt have a problem with strike coming after me. In my opinion his case is about as strong as the Betiko case, but the same case could be made against others.

Randomly pressure someone
Pressure someone who says something kind of weird.
BGtheBrain wrote:The deadline is irrelevant.
This is a universal truth that applies to day 1. Someone must be lynched.
At that time Betiko was by far the best option to at the very least be pressured.

a) town cop - if you get a guilty result, try to get that person lynched without claiming. Simply build a case against him and hope it works. If his wagon is not picking steam, then you can voluntarily claim your role and your results. If you have an innocent result in someone that is about to be lynched and protective roles are still alive, you can consider claiming to avoid the mislynch. Do notice that you get an innocent when you target the godfather, so it could get tricky. I'm not considering cop sanities because I' don't ever remember seeing a non-sane cop, but if your character has flavour hinting at naiveness/paranoia/insanity you should consider that before publishing your results out in the open.
b) town doctor - protect the cop when he claims! Try to keep a low profile so mafia doesn't see you as a "must die" townie: the more nights you live, the more protection you can give.
c) town mason - first of all, PM the mod and make sure the other mason(s) is town confirmed. If he is, do not let him be lynched (claim if you have to - if he claims and mentions you, confirm his story). If one of you have powers other than "mason", the other could claim that role instead to draw attention away from the real power role (a mason cop / mason duo could have the mason claiming cop, so the real cop would not be killed/roleblocked). You could also pull stunts from this position, but I'm not teaching that as it could backfire.
d) town busdriver - you can use your powers to protect people (cop claimed, doctor is dead, swap cop with someone you consider scummy). Since your powers can cause mischief, be ready to claim if something seems off (say, you swapped players A and B and the cop claims a guilty in B - chances are B is innocent and by staying silent you'll be causing a mislynch, so you should voluntarily claim and explain the cop's guilty is actually related to A, not B).
Busy again, I'll continue it later!

Nice post Rodion, I would really like to see you make a full strategy guide and get it stickied! (I will help if you want!) However, I agree with BG that this isn't really the place to put it. Could you please keep it to Mafia Discussions for now? We have had enough side tracking with the whole soccer team kabosh, we dont need this here too.
Like trini said, if we continue at this rate, we will have nothing at all to go on

Im sorry Strike Wolf, I DO appreciate your cases, you are one of the few that ARE contributing. I just dont agree with the cases enough to put a vote on them. I hate D1 so much
