ESPN is reporting that Matt Schaub is to miss several weeks with a severe foot injury:oVo wrote: AFC: Houston is looking good with several teams right on their heels,
That team rely's on that two headed running game. Maybe they should have kept Sage Rosenfels. And with AJ still down, it's probably not going to matter that much in the short term.AndyDufresne wrote:ESPN is reporting that Matt Schaub is to miss several weeks with a severe foot injury:oVo wrote: AFC: Houston is looking good with several teams right on their heels,

Here comes Matt Leinart and TJ Yates.

Unconfirmed report: Schaub may be lost for the remainder of the year with a broken foot. Some teams my want to remove the QB Sneak from the playbook.AndyDufresne wrote:Matt Schaub is to miss several weeks with a severe foot injury

They don't even have to throw it to AJ.safariguy5 wrote:Schaub was barely throwing the last couple of weeks anyways. If you want Leinart to just be a game manager, you can lean on the O-line and the running backs I think. And I'd believe AJ will make a mediocre QB look good. If Fitzgerald can make Skelton look good, AJ surely can make Leinart look good.
Schaub was 11 of 15 for 242 yards and 2 TDs against the Bucs Sundaysafariguy5 wrote:Schaub was barely throwing the last couple of weeks anyways.
Right, but again, it's more about the weapons on hand. Foster, Tate, Daniels, Jones, Dressen, and if they get Johnson back they're completely loaded. I think the Texans can trust Leinart as far as he can utilize them, especially coming off a bye. Get past the Bengals in Week 14 and I think they're set.oVo wrote:Schaub was 11 of 15 for 242 yards and 2 TDs against the Bucs Sunday.safariguy5 wrote:Schaub was barely throwing the last couple of weeks anyways.
IIRC, Rosenfels has some sort of blood disease and can't play, so they're better off with Leinart.safariguy5 wrote:That team rely's on that two headed running game. Maybe they should have kept Sage Rosenfels. And with AJ still down, it's probably not going to matter that much in the short term.

Only a semi interest? The Steelers have a bye week and the loser of the game in BaltimoreAndyDufresne wrote:Bengals (6-3) vs Ravens (6-3) looks like a match-up semi interesting...

Yeah, I have to say, after Lloyd got traded, Revis is probably going to target Decker and force Royal and Thomas to beat cromartie and probably have man coverage across the board.Army of GOD wrote:No way we're going to win tomorrow if our plan is to throw it 8 times. In the first drive against the Lions, Tebow threw a pass to Decker which looked like a touchdown to me (I think it was challenged, but my stream of the game froze obviously so I didn't see why it wasn't a touchdown). Then against Oakland he threw another beauty to Decker for a score.
But the Jets are going to plan on putting 8 in the box all day so our first drive better not be a three straight run three and out.

Well LT is confirmed out. I think the Jet's are going to go back to the ground and pound, and take shots vertically. And Plax is their go to red zone guy, I expect him to get a short score, possibly 2. Jet's have a pretty low scoring offense, but I think their defense can come up with a fumble recovery or INT to give them extra possessions.Army of GOD wrote:Another thing is that while our offense is gimmicky, the Jets' offense is actually ranked ONE BELOW ours in total yards. We're very close in rush defense allowed and they're 10 spots above ours in pass defense but we're not a passing team.
It's gonna be really close I think. The Jets don't have a McFadden (or even a Michael Bush, for that matter) because Greene isn't as good as people think and Tomlinson is old. Sanchez also makes bad decisions and I wouldn't be surprised if Bailey gets another two pick game. Though, our nickel/dime backs aren't great so receivers like Curley and Plax are going to play well against them I think.

It certainly helps that our 1 and 2 RBs are out.safariguy5 wrote:Well LT is confirmed out. I think the Jet's are going to go back to the ground and pound, and take shots vertically.
