Re: Interesting Mafia! [9/13] - Night 3 - Shattered Rainbow

Postby MoB Deadly on Sun Jan 15, 2012 3:42 pm

With a mafia goon dead, the town rested easy. However, their feeling of security was ended quickly. As the villagers gathered to talk about rebuilding and cleaning, they found a huge mess in the town square. There were bananas everywhere. They are all ruined and squished. As they approached the middle, they found a body, laying facedown. They flipped him over and they all gasped in horror....

ANDYDUFRESNE - TOWN COP - HAS BEEN KILLED. Upon further examination, there seemed to of been a struggle. He was riddled with bullets at close range.

It is obvious there is another killer among us, the villagers slowly cleaned up and looked at each other suspiciously, none of them feeling safe.

DAY 4 START! With 8 Players alive, it takes 5 votes to Lynch or No Lynch. No Deadline at this time.

There must be a roleblocker blocking you. I would guess that the mafia are worried you would switch targets to someone you found scummy or someone protected me. Not sure how likely that is since the doc was killed.

Good job I never died because I am now the cop.

I'm thinking this game involves a lot of things involving 2s. 2 cops, 2 docs 2 shot vigs and with one of each pair being naive so far I am not convinced that BG isn't naive. That being said if this is right (which is a bit of a stretch) Dazz's back up claim stands out.

Lets not forget we have a backup cop
Seriously guys.

While I agree that dazza is likely scum. We're approaching MYLO. I want more discussion before we start building the wagon.

How would that explain BG claiming Vig and Zimmah claiming recruiter? Zimmahs said when he claimed that there was one more VT in his network, which would be scary if your theory is correct. Having two vanilla townies, zimmahs role and Brains gun empty of shots is a scary setup for town.

I beleive strongly that town has more then just cops and docs.

Well I believe there is a second vig as implied by aying vigs plural in my post. Zimmahs role strikes me as maybe being one. Two roles that throw off the rest of the set up.

I am a firm beleiver that Town should not lie. It just creates further trouble down the road. Look what happened to Hippo.
If he had claimed he was a Naive dr he would most likely have lived. I think what happened with him is that he was trying to protect his own skin fearing a lynch. When a dr turned up dead that night Hippo was as good as lynched for his lie.

Zimmah is in the same boat. He has claimed Mason recruiter. That is a far cry from a vig.

Heres what puzzles me. We have Dazza claiming naive cop, which I agree is fishy. Is it possible? Yes. But is it probable? I dont think so.

We have Brain saying he shot Dazza twice and Dazzah lived both times. I find it odd that Brain felt the need to claim. It solves nothing and would only make him a target.

Are you implying that Brain is not really a Vig but a naive role? Im not sure I follow your theory.

First, hippo didn't know he was a naive doctor. Second, dazza claimed backup cop.

Duh!! Sorry about that.

Naive. Meaning they had no idea they did not function. So Brain could be shooting blanks to begin with. Dazza could really be a cop. The real vigilante could be saving up for a rainy day when needed.

Yeppers. Yesterday (Game's, not real) went too fast. I worked all day Tuesday and Wednesday...Which was when all of the action happened. By the time I checked in, the day was over. :|

I do believe that BG is a naive Vig. Or, what's already been stated: 2 roleblocks on BG or 2 saves on dazza. I believe the first is true, barring that we've had duplicates of roles already with one naive one real.

I remember reading somewhere that someone said that the godfather is immune to shots in the night...But I can't find it. I read a Mafia Wiki, but didn't see anything about an immune godfather. The only role I've played with that is immune to night shot is Granny, but her killer is killed instead - which did not happen. But that's besides the point.

Does anyone else remember a statement like that? :?

Thanks, BG. What I see:

1) That game was from MoB too, so it's somewhat likely that it works the same way.
2) is that how other mods use godfather in other games?

Yeah usually the godfather is innocent under investigation and sometimes will be bullet proof.

I am not the godfather here though. I do not know why I am not being killed by BG but I know the mafia will be close to the win if you lynch me.

I am the cop now and I think I will help alot for the win. I hope whoever is keeping me alive keeps up the good work.

Yeah, I know the whole innocence thing but "sometimes bulletproof" are the key words there.

So yeah, all that seals the deal for me.
Someone either present a better option, or vote Dazza.

You are acting like Naive cop is powerful here. A cop that always gets innocent does that really help the town? I think not. There was a sane cop and I am backup cop so I am guessing the mafia must be powerful for the need of a back up cop.
