The Pat's passing game is not as vertical as it was the last time these teams met in a Super Bowl and that may save Brady from the Giants' sack attack. He'll likely be getting rid of the ball quicker this time around.

IF the Giants have early success with the ground game the Pats may be in trouble and equally if NE sustains a steady possession passing attack... this will be a great game.

Neither team's defenses rank very high for the season, but both have been taking care of business in the post season. NY did not allow a single 3rd down conversion in the NFC Championship and NE batted away a game winning TD toss by Flacco in the final seconds of the AFC Championship prior to the missed FG that would have forced OT.

I wish it turned out as you predicted. Blast!!! The Giants flipping win it, again... :( Unbelievable.

Actually, what's unbelievable is the fact that Billy Cundiff missed a twenty yard field goal... the Patriots shouldn't even have been in the Superbowl game. lol However, I do like the Patriots, and I can't believe they were defeated.

And it wasn't even Brady's fault! He nailed, in the final drive, three receivers. All dropped the ball. Give me a break... He should have passed it to Wes Welker, maybe. -_- It's seriously too bad that Gronkowski wasn't on his game.

what did y'all think of the halftime show? It wasn't as bad as last year's - I'll say that much. Madonna is still going strong, and the routine was choreographed well. I appreciated the Roman marching bit, but haven't the foggiest how it fit into the song... and I can't fathom why they would start with marching Roman uniform and then go to break it with platform shoes and anachronistic high heels etc.

Since this thread is no more about predictions...please lock thread! Otherwise, please change name to New York Giants Win SuperBowl, and make Brady look like a chump!

I am not at all a Madonna fan (pretty much the opposite), but it was a surprisingly good show, I must admit.

LMFAO made the show worth it. Also best commercial would have to be the Dorito one with the dog, or the one with LMFAO who get to the halftime bar, EPIC.

Giants had everything go against them except the final score. Honestly it felt they were dominating in every category during the first half but still were losing. Both teams played really well in the second half (feel free to argue that I was already buzzed if not tipsy by that point). Good game.

You got that half right, since they didn't make Brady look like a chump.

Actually the Ravens would have never gotten past the Texans to play the Patriots
without a pair of rookie gifts. and Cundiffs FG would have only forced overtime.

While making SB predictions you all may have missed THIS and THIS.

that's arguable. They did make him throw a safety and batted down numerous passes.

Prediction wrong... no "self-pity", just a simple acknowledgement.

Giants win by 4... thereby cementing Eli as an 'Elite' Quarterback.

Although this cements Eli's status it does not knock down Tom Brady as the winningest Quarterback in Superbowl history. If Eli wins a third and goes to five he can claim that title.

I believe Montana is still the winningest quarterback in Super Bowl history (Montana: 4 Super Bowl victories; Brady: 3 Super Bowl victories; Eli Manning: 2 Super Bowl victories.) Unless I mistook the stat you are referring to.

The chump also managed to break the record for consecutive pass completions and drove the Pats 98 yards (10 of 10) for a TD and the halftime lead. Had that final "Hail Mary" prayer been answered, Tom would have been the game's MVP.
Also... it was unfortunate that the Pats --or fortunate for the Giants-- they got the ball back with 0:54 remaining, yet still managed a shot at the end zone.

My bad.

OK... how about for Quarterbacks who have played in 5 Superbowls... he's the winningest.

I bet with my friend that the giants would win 24-17. I was pretty close (more so than she was) and I think I've won a free dinner now.
