Would you prefer Earl Grey, Orange Pekoe, Green w/ Honey, or Black? I have cases of all (I like to mix the Orange Pekoe and Green).

Is your campus conducive for bicyclists, or is it one of those...'god speed and good luck' type of campuses? **Munches on a banana**

Generally speaking, even if the accident is completely your fault, i.e. you're not paying attention and step out in front of a car, it'd still be the driver of the vehicle who will feel guilty. You certainly won't be sending him flowers from hospital and offering to pay for a new bonnet/windscreen. So my theory is that, assuming there is no permament damage/death, I would rather be hit by a car, than be driving a car and hit a pedestrian. That is all.

I would rather avoid it all together, and just curl up into a monkeyball. **Munches on a banana**

I hit a kid on a bike once. He was wearing a dark blue track suit, riding a black bike with no lights or reflectors, on an unlit highway in the middle of the night. He couldn't have been less visible if he tried. And even thought it was 100% his fault, I still felt terrible for him; that's just natural.
(Oh, and in case you're wondering, he got through it with just a broken leg. Damn lucky. NEVER ride a bike with no lights. Especially now that LEDs are getting really cheap, deck the thing out like you're going to the Mardi Gras. Whatever it takes to stay visible.)
